Monsters and Lords: Scab and Dreg

Seeing as some people still ask for the Space Marines as Monster or Lords, but they wouldn’t really make sense alongside the current enemy sources

1.1 Scab/Traitor Guard:

Sentinel:

Height (Full extension): 4,8m to 5,34m → Might need to make it a tad shorter for a Monster, for Lord it wouldn’t cause issues
Armour:

  • Legs: Carapace and Flak
  • Hull: Carapace
  • Pilot: Unyielding or Maniac
    Slow, but tough enemy

Armament/Attack patterns:
Version 1: Scout Pattern

  • Multilaser: Work like the Machinegunner’s Volleygun, but less precise while shooting on the movement
    Version 2: Powerlifter
  • Powerlifter: Can use the Powerlifter to attack and slam at the Rejects
    Common:
  • Armoured feet attacks: Can be composed of slams and kicks
  • Charge

Commissar and Ogryn Bodyguard:

Following the same system as the Scab Captain, having multiple weapon choices + 1 defensive one (In this case the Ogryn Bodyguard)

Commissar:
Melee: Power fist
Ranged: Bolt Pistol or Melta Pistol
Unyielding: Head, Arm, legs
Carapace or Flak: Torso, shoulders
Ogryn:
Melee: Shield and Power Maul, 2h Slab Sword
Ranged: None

1.2 Dreg/Nurglite Cult

Sorcerer Lord:

Melee: Power Scythe or Balesword
Ranged: Multiple Psyker/Sorcerer Spells → Section 2.1
Defensive: Shroud of Flies working somewhat like the bubble shield but with a different aesthetic and mechanic

Herald of Nurgle

Melee: Balesword or Marotter (Small staff/mace)
Ranged: Bilepipe or Sorcerer Spells → Section 2.1
Defensive: Something tied to Nurglite Blooms ? Like incoming damage reduction depending on present blooms.

2 Psychic Powers

Certain could also appear on Specials

2.1 Nurglite Spells/Power

Gift of Contagion: The Psyker invoke a corruptive cloud over an area, this area would also stagger the rejects.

Favoured Poxes: Create boulbous poxes near the Rejects, which then explode, those poxes can be destroyed prematurely to deal less damage and knockback.

Plague Wind: Create foul winds that knockback and damage the rejects

Stream of Corruption: Work like a longer range pox flamer

2.2 Undivided Spells/Power

(If Scab Psykers, as they are less Nurglite typed)

Doombolt: Bolts made of raw chaos energy are launched by the sorcerer against his enemies. Made from dark energy of the coalesced spite and loathing of the sorceror.

Warptime The sorcerer alters the flow of time around himself, allowing for attacks with supernatural precision.

2.3 Daemonic Summon:

Those summons could also be used for normal units or objectives

Nurgling: Smallest creature, they did have a model in VT2 already, they aren’t really a threat

Plaguewalkers: Big humanoids, bigger than normal humans on average, also quite tough

While I love basically all you’re ideas (seriously - very cool and now I feel stupid for not thinking of a sentinel boss myself ^^) especially imagining storming a barracks district with bunkers and barbed wire and stuff and in the end you have to face a sentinel!

I still think a Single plague Marine would be fitting. Unlike some other traitor legions who prefer massive assaults Death Guard is known for some subterfuge. Sending a small team of plague marines to create and direct chaos cults and to spread nurgles gift would fit well within lore. And then eliminating identified plague marines would be paramount objective for any inquisitor.

Alternatively a great way to implement them: A ship trying to smuggle macguffins onto the planet was stopped by the fleet and a boarding party established a bridge head onto the ship. But when they met surprisingly stiff resistance by nurgle cultists they decided to evacuate and blow the ship out of the orbit. Grendyl stopped them however and sends in a kill team of rejects to find the source of this nurgle support - and then we find on the bridge a plague marine. Investigation complete - the death guard is involved and the conflict escalates. This could even end with us not necessarily killing the marine but just escaping him. Thankfully plague marines aren’t as superhumanly fast as other Astartes.

I‘d love this - and it would actually be something different from what we have now.

Having a duo boss fight would be awesome. Two lesser bosses combined to make a lethal force. Many games have done this, especially the beat-em-up games like Ninja Turtles. I would love to see this added!

They have already done that once, with Rasknik and Deathrattler

Even better example. We need this!
