Lets Discuss the Power Pack

The Medicade station and the Power Pack have a very easy interation. You find one and use it to power the medicade station.

But what about when our Ogryn carries the battery pack further into a mission?
Why can we not be rewarded for the surplus?
We should be able to remove the battery to replace with a new one, yea?
Our team really needed a medicade in this specific situation.
(We ended up bringing the powercell on the ship to the end for our amusement.)

We actually enjoyed carrying the battery, going back for it after a fight. (the ogryn did most of the heavy lifting). It was his baby SAH. A penance like this would be fun, maybe not the best, but a step above the current penances, IMO.

The point is the medicade station should allow for this interaction to happen, replacing a spent battery with a crispy new one. This will immediately give players the choice to carry one further into a mission if they should stumble upon one. I wouldn’t go as far as being able to remove a battery pack if it has charges just to carry it down the road (because lohner needs his juice).

This functionality should have already been in the game on launch. It’s just another sign of how low-effort the development process was, or how incompetent the devs are.

Why not just have the Ogryn wear the medicade station as a backpack since it needs the batteries!

Still, there is room for growth with this mechanic that I hope the devs explore.

lmao I’m glad to hear others carrying the battery to the end for some silliness.

Definitely would be cool to carry them forward and replace batteries of spent medicae stations for additional charges.

REMOVING the power pack? Don’t be ridicilous! The thought alone of someone removing the power pack and replacing it with a fully charged one is preposterous, bordering on, dare I say, HERESY!

the first and only time i bothered to lug an energy cell past the original station it was intended for to save for the next station (since we didnt need it when we came across it) and found out you couldnt just replace the cell on a depleted station was the most disappointing experience ive had so far in this game.

The ability to replace the medicae pack will soon be released! Even better, you will be able to instantly charge the station using your Aquilas premium currency!

Speaking of ends, have you tried ending your runs with a visit to the cosmetics store? You should always keep an eye on those limited time cosmetics. Who knows when they are going to disappear?

Since something similar has already been done in a better game I fully expect Fatshark to ignore any and all potential of this idea

This has also occurred to me at least once yeh.

I would rather have maps that loop back into Areas where Med Stations are. Could be done without running back the way you came with a map area that looks like an eight with the Station at the cross point. Or the Station is placed on an elevator you can call to your current stage. Something like that.

That way it is not a nobrainer to use it up whenever you find one.

The ones that are placed inside an event are the exception right now, but those need to, in my opinion, get removed from the area you fight in. Having them there has a huge impact on the difficulty of the events.

Yes I see layers plugging in the pack just to plug it in.

I would like a Deadspace option. You get a battery pack to activate a medicade OR whats behind Door #2! Ammo? Another Battery Pack! Loot Rooms @Licious-D !

this is a great idea! Sometimes you come to a station with say 2 charges but you don’t need em. being able to remove the half full battery and take it with you so that next time you come across a 2 charge station all 4 players can heal by swapping out the battery

The battery pack already balances itself by making it slow to walk with, so the risk-reward is already there.
