KNOWN ISSUE: Keyboard & Mouse Players Presented With Controller UI After Nightmares & Visions Update

well thats not true

We’re looking in to it!

i have nuked every device one by one and its still think i play on controler.

Are you able to access the Settings menu at all? Some button mashing may be required

i cant access setting since my comfirmation button is asignt to some controler button that i dont have but i will try maybe it will work .

Can you see if you have any controllers listed in the Device Manager? Like this:

The windows controler support for some reason was active while no device is a controler… well that solves the issue .
Thank you.

Excellent! Pleased to hear

Hi, I have this same issue. As long as I have a controller plugged in, since the latest update yesterday the controller overrides inputs no matter what and I literally can’t use my keyboard and mouse, as OP describes. I have Steam Input disabled and it did nothing. Only way I can use my keyboard and mouse in game is to unplug my controller before launching the game.

Sure, problem solved, but at the same time this wasn’t an issue before. It would be nice if this could go back to the way it was before update, and be to where the game does not override input to controller. I’ve not updated Windows. All I’ve done is update Nvidia GPU to latest driver to take advantage of the new DLSS 4 update, and updated the game. That is all that has changed on my end since the game updated. Again, this was never an issue before this update, and I’ve had my controller plugged in all the time without it ever overriding my inputs like this.

FYI: We have resolved the underlying issue causing this. It won’t be included in 1.7.1, but we’re working to push it out as soon as possible.

Hello, I have Tartarus Pro and NO controller. Tried following these steps, setting Dead Zone Threshold to as much as 0.99 or 1 - it did not help. What’s interesting - sometimes the game asks for the A glyph and sometimes for a Spacebar, no idea how it chooses. But getting into the game is not the real issue - I can bind the A glyph to one of the Tartarus keys.

The real problem (and I can’t find it reported anywhere, but wonder if it might be related?) is that sometimes Tartarus starts glitching out of blue - character won’t stop moving in an odd direction (pressing movement keys doesn’t help), weapon swap has huge latency, etc. It feels like Razer firmware if going crazy - I have to close Darktide and restart Razer Synapse to fix it. Hasn’t happened in any other game and only happened in Havoc mode so far, so I’m a bit at a loss. Needless to say, Havoc is where you want to experience this least of all :') I have only played a few Havoc games before the update but had no issues (still cannot guarantee it wasn’t there).
