Seriously ? E-Mail Exchanges ? Chum we are in the 2k20´s today you use services like Cisco Webex for such urgend matters (at least if you want to be considered professional). Debugging takes time i give you that. No one can check and debugg thousands if not millions of code colums in notime. I even understand that you cant get the whole team together yesterday, since pentecost is a public holiday in several European countrys. But this all could have been avoided by proper testing. And thats the major issue with all games today, they get published way to early without properly checking the game itself and conducting a stresstest. But thats also not the fault of the designers or programers. This kind of problem lies within the management. These f…s should be nailed to the wall and beeing forced to eat humble pie!
For their sakes, I pray they are already working on it.
Around half the players cant play and it will reflect VERY bad on their game.
Steam gives 55% review score and it already dropped to 49%
I suppose most players are on NVIDIA, at least that’s what steam polls would suggest. In any case if they are unable to fix it, they need to post a working bypass (switching to W11) ASAP, so that players who payed for their product can use it. This situation is such a mess.
Surly I am willing to switch my OS as a bypass to play a Videogame that might not be around in 6 months…
I apologise for the lack of updates overnight. AMD are continuing to investigate and I will report back as soon as I know more.
I also want to stress that solving this is our top priority and I will do whatever I can to support our developers and AMD in addressing this.
No FFing way…
No, No it doesn’t.
Fatshark dropped the ffing ball.
Look I get it, and I am in some regards understanding of the problem. Things happen and sometimes unforeseen problems can happen, its just nature. However just because I am understanding doesn’t mean I am not a customer. So see it from that perspective. Little testing would have went a long way to resolve this issue before release, maybe introduce a PTR if there isn’t one already. That way you can check these before launching. Also FatMarauder your response is the closest thing I’ve seen to someone addressing it that doesn’t even work for them…what’s that say about them? Surely they have a few people on staff to give a PR notification. Silence is just as bad if not worse then saying something negative about the customers.

I have an amd ryzen 5980hx cpu and amd 6800m driver version 23.5.1 (latest). Windows 11 also up to date. My bios version is 331. My game is running great with no performance issues or crashes so far. I hope this information helps out
The third day?
reasonable anger aside… The patch producing this issue is not even 24hours out.
Once resolved will you be providing information to us on the cause of the issue, please?
I think with about a third of the community unable to access the game during a community event due to a technical issue it would be good for us as customers to understand how this happened and what Fatshark are doing to prevent this from occurring again.
For sure, I’ll let you know!
I’m really not sure why AMD is the entity to investigate this …
They didn’t modify their Win 10 drivers lately, you modified your game.
It’s pretty obvious that the missing files / code were there in the previous builds as we know the game ran properly. So the only team that can figure out the problem are the specialists that decided everyone of their playerbase should’ve upgraded to win 11 by now …
If you wait for AMD it will take longer, they didn’t break anything so I highly doubt they’ll take it up as a priority.
Thank you, that’s good to hear.
I appreciate that game dev is probably a lot harder than a lot of us give you credit for but this is a major issue affecting almost all AMD GPUs (from what I’m seeing) that feels like it should’ve been caught by yourselves ahead of a major patch that was advertised heavily like this. Whether this is true depends on the cause but that this was allowed to slip through the cracks is clearly being seen as a glaring omission by the community.
This doesn’t make you look good, and that sucks because you are a company I like the work of and Darktide, despite it’s many flaws that many have pointed out, is one of my favourite games right now.
Here’s hoping you resolve this soon, but that such a fundamental issue was not caught during testing for a heavily advertised update is incredibly concerning.
I should add we are aware that this seems to be isolated to Windows 10, as those on Windows 11 seem to be unaffected. AMD are in the loop.
There was cases in the past in darktide with many AMD GPU’s experiencing longer load times and stuttering, does the team believe there could be contributing factors to windows 10 and this current issue?
I tried the preview version of Win 10 May update and the game won’t launch with that either.
Taking one for the team and upgrading to win 11, if i dont give an update assume it failed.
Anyone else thinking about doing this make sure TPM is enabled in BIOS.
