I haven’t seen anyone mention it, but since 2.0 one of the things that was added is the player to last hit an enemy pushed off a ledge will be credited with the kill. So a Kruber charging a boss off gets the kill. Or smashing elites off ledges. Using a fire barrel. Any kind of “map” kill. This has been a really nice feature and I was surprised it wasn’t mentioned in the patch notes.
If I can recall correctly, the UI in 1.6 didn’t show who killed the enemy when it gets pushed out of the ledge/map, so if someone kills an Assassin via this method, there’s no notification for it. This leads to some confusion for other players, since they might think that the Assassin is still alive.
Good to know about this info. Thanks!
You recall correctly.
I noticed that change, it’s nice.
I’d gladly trade it in to have my fun back though.
It was one of the first things me and my friend noticed. We were on? Crap I can’t even remember the stage name. The BTU level where you have to jump on the log and then do another jump to go past the fireplace and get to the grim.
We were making that jump and all of a sudden he gets credit for killing a gutter runner.
We still have no clue what happened there. But at the very least knowing that the thing isn’t alive for any reason is better than still playing cautiously because it roasted on a barrel
Except when you’re kruber knocking everything off when it has already been set on fire by sienna and she takes credits for all kills instead.
That’d be Engines of War.
Yep, I’ve noticed the change too. It can be useful, but mostly I just find it fun. It’s probably related to the change mentioned in the patch notes, that shows also when enemy FF kills significant enemies. Nevertheless, a good change.
Enemy friendly fire elite kills also show now.
