More teases… come on… THURSDAY
Hinting seems to be towards… actual STORY… here’s moderate hoping
“We’ll be going places” not Place…!
Sorry for being a whiner, but I really dislike Fatshark’s teasers.
Just show stuff when it’s ready.
We are not a playerbase made up of 45-60k daily concurrent players where they need to dripfeed stuff like this and esp since a lot of the stuff haven’t exactly been that intricate content wise either over the years.
It’s like when they make new weapons; you have to wait until a content creator show off the weapons because Fatshark can’t be bothered to put together a small clip of movesets.
Sounds like a power weapon?
So Skulls is gonna be another self-congratulatory nothing-fest beyond the class reveal, I suppose? I still remember the ‘LOOK WE MADE A LOT OF PATCHES THAT’S ALMOST LIKE GAME DEV’ stuff they’ve put out before.
Most likely and maybe Admech or something else in a three second trailer that doesn’t actually show much of anything.
But if subtitles guy is as fire as he/she always is then I’ll watch it just because of the subs!
Too much is happening next week… Rogue Core in EA on Wednesday (I’m buying it ofc) and Skulls.
First time theyve made something like this so theyre teasing something big for the upcoming update besides admech class
Its an arc rifle
Sorry to blow out your hope candle but the teaser itself doesn’t really have anything story wise. The only thing related to story is the story of Darktide itself aka. The launch then the release of new classes.
It’ll more likely be what @Ragnarok101 has said. Though I’m certain we’ll get some amount of new story for Darktide with this new update since that’s what happened when Hive Scum dropped.
One new map and a new campaign. And since we still have 2 unused maps for the whole campaign thing (two from the Industrial sector: the Smelter one and the Reactor one), I think it’s believable that this update will give us at least one new map and an another 3 mission campaign with more story.
I don’t like teasers.
It builds excitement for things that end up not being the reality, or things that are underwhelming enough that said excitement wasn’t worth it.
I am a discerning reject. I want only schizo babble vox trailers that talk about the GOOD OL PLASMA GURN
Worse than that… We never know exactly what will come. It is like they are furiously happy to see players trying to guess what will come…
And then don’t understand when the players bash them due to the disappointment… ![]()
What I note is that it starts with November 30th 2022 we called you… they also promised to release a solo game mode at same time… and we are still waiting for any news
What do you mean? We just got
the biggest injection of new content in the game since launch
for free, remember?
Oh you don’t?
Ooopsie.
You do realize they’ve been “hinting actual story” for the whole 3 years now right?
At least Fatshark appears to have understood the concept of publishing teasers BEFORE the content comes out this time around?
that’s my solo mode, you can find me there baybay. lately if I see an assy board and a trashy maelstrom I’ll just click that…only on the 30 minute board though, otherwise it is trash.
Well, as I played 4 times expeditions and concluded that I would prefer the original (Helldivers 2) to the bad copy (darktide expeditions), your biggest injection of new content looks like a big waste of time by the developers (and at final I play Arc raiders for the extraction shooter genre).
I still wait for the only thing I want, I ask and was promised by Fatshark… a solo game mode.
We’ll Hive scum did have free map… but Arbites did not… I’d lean towards free map again.
We’ll hints are how FS tells most of its story but they did finally consolidate it into campaigns last year… I’m just hoping they finish one with as satisfying of an ending as Skittergate from VT2
It would be easier to list content added as ‘not free’ since launch
-Cosmetics
-Arbites
-Hive Scum
every thing else since launch has been free, have I like it all? No but I prefer this standard to VT2s paid expansions for failed ideas.
