Is there a reason veteran focus tag overwrites arbites dog mark?

I meet too many veterans that have bound their focus tag to some kind of spam key.

They waste their ammo killing targets ive already sicced my dog on. And when they mark it my dog stops pursuing. Some veterans even go so far as to not kill the stuff they mark!

And in situations where you mark something to save yourself in a literally life or death situation, this can get you killed. Seems like a fundamentally flawed design where you cant even rely on your own abilities to protect you.

The solution is simple: Make them stack.

Right now they actually kind of seem to do that. But only if the arbites mag is applied AFTER the veteran mark. But because veterans often assume their mark is gone they will retag…and cancel the stack.

With the new skitarii servo skull tag ability, this might become even more annoying.

Considered it.

But i’m actually not sure if it is a bug or intended mechanic.

I wonder what gameplay benefit it does.

Maybe it’s just too powerful to be combined?

A balance effort?

its been reported quite a few times and acknowledged each time so i’m guessing bug. although non bugs often get acknowledged too it feels like they would’ve eventually cleared it up
