Hey Vizra. I spoke to AMD briefly last week and made sure to remind them of this issue; I have nothing concrete to share yet, unfortunately.
As an alternative while some of us wait in hope of a fix would you consider passing the suggestion to the Fatshark engineering team to add support for VK3D-Proton which is a fork of Valve’s Proton directly into the game.
It could appear in the game as experimental Vulkan support toggle so those under Windows with an AMD GPU could at least try Vulkan as the output as these problems go away under Linux when using Valve’s proton layer.
Hopefully AMD Windows players would benefit and it would save Fatshark from having to make a full Vulkan output.
Another option is please update AMD Frame gen in Darktide it’s quite buggy/laggy and not up to date with AMD’s current version, a working framegen for AMD might minimize some of these problems.
I had been wanting to delete windows 11 and move to Linux and this past weekend I installed Bazzite and right out of the box, Darktide runs so much smoother it’s unreal.
9800X3D and 9070 XT 16GB
Game runs between 190-250fps
Was able to get reshade working, using LACT to control the GPU fans and under volt.
So many options in Linux and I have barely scratched the surface.
It’s 18.5%, actually. Or did you mean Linux? (mentioned in the post above yours)
Think the 5% is with all the stocked up GPUs never to be used for the AI farms.
Close to 20% is not bad at all.
Hi @FatsharkJulia,
I wanted to provide some input regarding the issue of ‘textures not loading in on AMD Graphics cards’
This seems to be caused by having Resizable BAR enabled.
When I have this disabled, my textures load in fine and my game looks amazing.
This might be something to validate and look into with AMD / the internal team.
