Also another Reply.

When i asked if this now means that its a “known” issue and will be listed or fixed in the next driver as “known issue”

Just to reiterate on the details I shared in my previous email and to clarify any confusion, this is to inform you that the engineering team have been made aware of the issue that you reported, they have acknowledged the reported issue and performing multiple investigation and identifying the possible fixes to this.

Maybe this info helps you people over at fatshark too @FatsharkJulia

To be fair they said this

And you just made assumptions for them

Smells like an NDA, especially given the (now deleted) post from Fatshark’s website mentioning they’ve been demoing AMD’s radiance caching

You’re only going to get so much out of customer support by constantly messaging them. If they aren’t allowed to say or don’t have any updates and you keep pressing the only thing you’ll accomplish is annoying them.

its a ticket which is now 6~ months open and roughly 70% of the tickets said “ respond within 14 days or we consider it solved and close it”

yes, i cant ask more from the customer support , but as long as i dont see it Publicly acknowledged by amd themself ( like via the known issues ) its not solved for me at all.

Most of those responses just look like text from an automated system, very generic and non-committal. This is one of the main reasons why AMD will be never a serious GPU player again any time soon. Especially with this AI hype fuelled insanity ruining both NVIDIA and AMD from perspective of gamers.

If not that second part, “fixing” the issue, I would say it’s a problem with temps, but this is clearly going deeper. It’s crazy how little has been done to improve those issues.

Its not temps, look at bottom of How to fix AMD GPU stutters and improve clarirty | Streaming settings config fix - #114 by Munchmatoast

Interesting. I have noticed myself recently that the game stutters in places it should NOT. I have Ryzen 7800x3d, 32 RAM, a fast M2. SSD and RTX 4080 Super. Yet in game I can see that my CPU and GPU are barely used or taxed.

DLSS is on, so is high performance plan in Windows and NVIDIA Control panel. Mind my issues are far smaller than yours, even if masked by DLSS at the cost of latency.

So one thing I am noticing is that playing the game on Linux (Bazzite in my case, but I suspect the difference is the AMD Mesa drivers and Valve’s Proton) the game runs… significantly better on AMD cards.

Which is weird but here we are.

I can confirm this, Darktide runs much better on bazzite. Which proves imo that there is quite room for optimization. Darktide is the only game i have played which struggles so bad with performance on Windows/AMD.
I don’t understand why this is still the case over 3 years after release. Maybe the issue is not an easy one to fix, but it is certainly easy to reproduce.

No one cares about AMD users at 5% marketshare.

hello fatshark??? how is this still a problem for f**k sake

It’s genuinely baffling that a “solution” is to just not play on Windows, but on a Linux OS instead and even then you can tell it’s badly optimized

Hi @FatsharkJulia,

I know this has been asked often, but has there been any updates / progress on the AMD GPU performance issues from AMD or Fatshark?

Thanks in advanced

i doubt they gonna respond to it we have been doin that since april of last year it

Noticed they unpinned this thread, that might as well answer our questions

yep its a comeplete joke at this point and we all know what to do now guys

and they keep on delaying the Radiance Caching thing they did teasing about last december

Why is this unpinned? I have direct irrefutable evidence that power draw is a problem with 9000 series cards.

Unpinning happens automatically, I’ve since re-pinned it.
