Mind-you this has been an issue SINCE LAUNCH. Hundreds of posts have been made on Reddit in the meantime.
THE ONLY STABLE AND PROPERLY WORKING FIX IS TO ROLL BACK TO 11.1.2023 ADRENALIN DRIVERS. FIND YOUR SOLUTION THERE
- SMT enabled, not tried to disable it.
- Adrenalin 25.11.1
- Only Helldivers 2 has had the same issues as Darktide has. āCoincidentallyā they use the same engine.
- Yes, fresh windows install too.

I cantā believe Iām saying this but the RX580 is identical to performance in comparison to the RX6600 XT, I know this cause I had the older one. Jesus Christ. I get some issues need time and all that but this is just unacceptable at this point. An entire portion your playerbase deadass canāt play the game (unless they mod it to hell and back) without dropping below 60 or even 30 FPS, just because they had the audacity to own an AMD GPU.

Yeahā¦ i contacted amd instead fatshark just is silent about it.
I loved both vermintides , and bought darktide , and some dlc for all the games , yet this will be my last.
Communication is key , silence is hate.
its really simple in my eyes.
silence means for me that they dont care making a post takes like 30 seconds , if they need to ask around the devs maybe 30 minutes.

Hi all, I apologise I donāt have any new developments to share on this. I did inform AMD that the changes they made in driver version 25.6.2 were unsuccessful back in August.
To help bring more attention to the issue, I recommend reaching out to AMD as a player as well.
Weāre aware some players have had success in working around this by disabling SAM (Smart Access Memory), so weāre interested to hear whether this could work for any of you?

By āResizable Barā you mean Smart Access Memory yes? To that I say it has always been disabled, for me at least. Given what I know of the feature shouldnāt the desired result be increased frames with it on though?
Regardless of SAM I still personally think with how drastic the performance differences are between AMD and NVIDIA that the game just isnāt optimized for AMD hardware in the slightest.

Yep! Iāll edit my comment to include SAM. Technically it should improve performance, but itās also reported to do the opposite for some, so I imagine itās highly variable between users.
I just tried it (with way too much effort needed to activate it), and to be honest it didnāt improve performance but I think it at least stabilized it? Or that couldāve been due to me enabling the Extreme Memory Profile setting. Itās still way too low for a good experience though.
the game runs much better now
Had to lower my in-game resolution to 1600x900 and then use the driver software AMD Adrenaline to get FSR to upscale it back to 1080p, enabled in-game FrameGen and it now runs much better. Sucks that I had to do this despite, yāknow, the game being advertised as optimized for a GPU of this scale and yet it still runs poorly without flipping over backwards for some solution that you pray would fix the issue
In game is running pretty good for me on 25.11.1 but menuās etc are a little laggy

Iam in contact with amd , 6 days ago they said they forward it to their techs , which might be a canned response idk.

i also added your reply in that ticket today so they see that even the dev of the game wants amds contact.
atleast benchmarks show on youtube that sam basicly is a nothing burger in most games of 2-4% + or - in performance , theres only a super odd super rare games that get like 10-15% MORE performance with sam on .
but never like a performance issue like here with amd hardware.

I have tried the streaming config settings, I have tried all resolutions, various graphics options and the stuttering persists.

In my case the culprit was AMD Fluid Motion Frames, Anti-Lag and Enhanced Sync. I disabled FG both in game and in Adrenaline. And disabled the rest in Adrenaline. After that stutters and lags were gone. Looks like They broke FG for AMD at some point. But without FG the game performance is far from ideal. Iāve played many beautiful and hardware demanding games like Hellblade 2, Final Fantasy 16 etc with constant 60 FPS@1080p at high graphical settings without issues though. But this one struggles to do so. My specs are: Ryzen 5700 X3D, 32 Gb RAM, 7900GRE, Win 10.
