Issue Description (Required):
This is an update to the previous post I made where I explained majority of upper body cosmetics don’t have enough arm model.
This causes weird looking attack animations with some weapons.
From what I can tell, the vast majority of upper body cosmetics have this problem.
The only exceptions I’ve found for Veteran are those that have mostly exposed arm model, and:
- Hostile Environment Field Kit (Ice Mourn)
- Trophy-Hunter’s Armoured Doublet
Every other cosmetic item, both free and premium, has this issue.
This is not limited to Veteran.
Zealot and Psyker also have many cosmetics with this issue.
There’s an easy way to check which cosmetics have this problem, via Heavy Sword’s special action. This is because none of the cosmetics with this problem render enough of player’s arm model for this attack.
In addition to the above,
Militrarum Heavy Battlegear (Protectus Pattern IX) and Shock Trooper Heavy Battlegear (Protectus Pattern IX) have incomplete rendering for clothing and gloves depending on Mesh LOD setting. I’ve reported these several times and they remain unfixed.
Heavy Flak Carapace (Sludge Jungle Camo) doesn’t render enough of arm model, and what is rendered is done in a bizarre way that causes visual glitches for some other weapons’ attack animations (also been reported, still unfixed).
Steps to Reproduce (Required):
- Unlock and equip heavy sword on player character.
- Load into any first-person game environment.
- Perform the special action attack with heavy sword.
- See if the player character’s arm model is rendered fully during the attack animation.
- Repeat this for every upper body cosmetic item except the ones listed above.
