I do enjoy the sections with minimalist lighting more than pitch black. It can be a real vibe sometimes.
I’m of the mindset that conditions that change the look of a level needn’t also change the gameplay. Having moody modifiers for holidays like Halloween or winter that capture the festive feeling diagetically would be nice. Or mirrored levels! Like the old days.
That reminds me about something I forgot to touch on about the rinda fight. If Rinda cannot be staggered and just has a very fast infinite combo string, I am going to HATE this boss fight when you get to fight her for real.
To me, theres nothing fun about just having an ogryn with the slab shield sit in a corner while you and the other 3 get to wail on her for 10 minutes or whatever. I really hope she works like a crusher where you have to be precise with your dodges and movements but if you slip or don’t time it correct you get punished with a large chunk of health.
Tl;Dr I need more from the boss fight other than a bullet sponge with infinite combos and the animation speed slider cranked up.
I agree completely and think the flares or something to that effect would’ve been great! Also would’ve loved to see her transformation or wish the event had something to do with us trying to stop it but to no avail
