Hotfix 1.12.3 is now being rolled out on all platforms. It just has a small fix, but we would like to take the opportunity to quickly cover some feedback we have received since the release of the Skitarii Class.
Dev note:
Since the Omnissiah blessed the Mourningstar with the arrival of the Skitarii, we’ve been keenly listening to the feedback you have shared regarding them. We are currently looking at their Blitz Abilities , addressing the issues regarding balance, usability, and how they fit into the kit of the Skitarii.
We are also looking at the Skitarii Melee Weapons, and we are planning some fixes and changes to stat scaling and also a set of specific tweaks for the Mechanicus Power Sword.
Finally, we have heard your feedback on the new enemy, the Vanguard, and we are hard at work on tweaking and balance for them too.
We still need some time to get this right, so these fixes are coming in the next patch, that should be with you all just after summer break.

General Fixes
Fixed auto-aim on Advanced Combat Doctrines missing when shooting at targets moving sideways.
Known Issues
The initial section of the Chasm Station HL-16-11 mission has some navigational issues that might cause enemies to navigate unpredictably.
That’s all for today!
We’ll see you on the Mourningstar.
Ahhhhh Frag. They will be nerfed into the ground and become a non-threat just like the regular chaff, won’t they? All because some people just refused to adapt to a new threat.
You want to reduce enemy spam? One of the key components is not letting the playerbase force a stagnation of balance. The loud people want to cleave through hordes like Gods. They want Darktide to be Warframe, but that’s not what this game is supposed to be in the devs’ eyes.
So don’t let these people decide how it should be balanced, like utterly nerfing Vanguards, and having an another Elite-Enemies-Situation where the enemies are now so weak that they have to be spammed to be an actual threat. You already nerfed them enough; don’t do the same thing that you did to Plasma Gunners.
Break the cycle, please. It’s better for the game’s health.
Edit: Also, if people don’t like the moveset of the Mechanicus Power Sword, just make a new mark. Don’t change the current moveset as I and many others love it for this very thing. Some of us like to use our brains when playing with weapons that aren’t just Onga-Bonga spam M1 to win.
With adapt you mean just run the meta stuff every time? They were hurting the weaker weapons so hard they were totally unusable because of Vanguards. Just try to use the Turtolsky sword for instance. Meanwhile flame staff psykers get a free pass and can just burn them like they can do with anything. Other meta weapons like relic blade or tac axe have also no trouble with them.
Well done.
Maybe it was answered else but how is fixing of ACD using all stacks of capacitance when 1st full stack is used? Especially visible when used with redline capacitors
Never said that. Just because I don’t add “Nerf the Flame Staff FatShark!” into every comment I make does it mean I endorse it being OP.
Also, FYI, I do play with the Heavy Sword and do fight the Vanguards with it. I like that they stop you from bomb-rushing the map and slow down the gameplay. More enemies need to be like this so normal games take around 30 minutes instead of 20.
Make Darktide more like Vermintide rather than Warframe, change my mind.
Don’t get me wrong, I want the game to be harder too, but I see the devs going in the wrong direction for adding an enemy that makes people rely on meta weapons like flame stuff even more, instead of addressing player power creep first. They simply can’t get the Vanguard right as long as such powerful weapons exist. The Arc Rifle is the same problem, no matter what they throw at you, you just hold the trigger until everything is dead even with pre-nerfed Vanguards. So what’s the point of adding an enemy that just ruins weaker weapons even more? It just makes people quit the game because it feels like Warframe with everyone relying on those overpowered weapons and builds that screen wipe everything.
You don’t need meta weapons just to kill a few vangaurds. Just hit their heads jesus christ. You probably alt +f4’d the game when you met a shieldvermin patrol in vermintide 2.
Whilst you are tweaking Skitarii blitzes, please for the love of the Omnissiah increase the range of the med servo skull. 25 Meters is laughably short.
Nice assumption, but actually the opposite. I quit lobbies when I see people using Arc Rifle or Flame Staff. I have no problem with Vanguards being hard, as long as no teammate is a literall god and deletes everything by just spamming their ranged weapon in the room. My point is that with the current meta in the game the Vanguards make no sense. Nerf the screen wiping loadouts first and then they make sense.
The vanguard has every right to stay being an obnoxious cleave stopper. It has nothing to do with flame staff /infinite cleave needing a nerf. One does not exclude the other.
Thunder Hammer suffers more imo. My friend is a hammer main and he says it’s unplayable now with its slow attack speed and getting stuck at the first enemy.
The thing is that they will address the powercreep in time. “In time” is the key word because they are slow at making these decisions. But people just refuse to wait for the rest to come. They see only half of the picture and think it’s everything, then get mad.
I say, instead of forcing them to go back, let’s wait and let them do their thing.
Except it does matter. It only causes more players to use those braindead builds and it already was frustrating to play with flame psykers or Ogrynheimer teammates because they just ruin the game flow and take any challenge out of it.
So much this. I don’t want this weapon to lose its identity. They could do the same thing they did with vet’s powersword - instead of changing it to work like relic blade, they added a power falchion. Now they could just add a second mark of mechanicus powersword with a simple moveset.
