I think most of us get why the Arbites aren’t getting new stuff in the MTX store, but to be honest, I’m really REALLY, surprised that Scum hasn’t gotten ANYTHING new.
Scum is the easiest (yes, it is!) archetype to print cosmetics for, and over the course of Darktide’s lifespan, the OG classes have already (for some reason) received countless ganger clothes (mainly from House Orlock) in the MTX store.
Fatshark had no problem slapping Necromunda stuff on the OG classes, but they can’t with the Scum.
I understand that it’s winter vacation for certain businesses here in Sweden (not for me) so there is not a lot of people in office, but…
Amazing how none of this other art has seemingly made it to the store yet as cosmetics. We got some bits, but a lot of the cloaks and robes, gasmasks and hoods, and pit fighter armor pieces are missing. I’m a sucker for Hazard Stripes with Hiver and will buy every weapon skin if they make more, like the latest for Bolt Pistol. I also really dig and would love some of those more brutal designs for weapon skins, like some of those for chainsword, heavy sword, and combat axe the pit fighters are using.
It really is a “What the kark” kind of moment as like you said, this archetype is the easiest to make cosmetics for and FS has long known the community’s feelings on the Arbites situation. This 2nd rotation after release with no new cosmetics is a quintessential Fatshark move, unless Mr. Workshop is being so controlling over such a broad archetype as Hive Scum.
there was some silliness in VT2 over premium skins for premium careers on consoles. not sure if its over the double dip or adding stuff later or the rotating out, but seeing nothing for scum yet makes me think its still to blame. especially with the art and lack of ‘please don’t use our old shameless Dredd rip off minis’ rule like Arbites.
