I like having the ability to give my teammates stims, but the way you upgrade the stim itself makes no sense tbh and limits stuff for no reason.
Why do I NEED to give everyone 4 attack speed nodes, just to get extra movement speed? It would be nice if I could give some rending and movement speed, but if I wanted to do that the stim will have a 75 second cooldown because I’m forced to take a ton of strength and attack speed.
Or if I wanted to double down and get extra movement speed and stun immunity, without taking other things, I can’t because taking movement speed locks stun immunity. Why Fatshark thinks 30% reload speed is worth the same amount as ultra buffed movement speed and dodging, idk, but that’s locked too if I want movement speed.
To be honest, instead of making the stim I wanted to use, and think would be fun, I have to just take toughness and strength with 1 cooldown node, because just giving my teammates speed does nothing lmao. Also, because I’m using a knife; I literally would need a macro to utilize the attack speed.
I love the stim system but i feel it does need a bit of an overhaul. In connected news the stim crate really should not take your custom stim as well. Copy it yes but bein 2 seperate cooldowns
But then players would just alternate Kalma StimPack → Kalma Stim for ludicrous CD. Fully upgraded it’s 25% CD and +75% CD on ranged or melee kills. Then throw on Stim Dependence for more lols.
I agree it’s annoying when stimpack consumes a stim, but it’s worth acknowledging there could be a balancing predicament if it was just given two seperate cooldowns without any other changes.
there still is a balancing predicament because essentially to buff your team youll never get on demand use of a stim if you value your team over yourself. meanwhile your team is chuggin them where they find them.
