I completed a havoc missions with clearance level 31 last week, meaning once the week rolled over and the cache reward granted I should have been promoted to havoc level 31 for this week to start with. I got the reward chest for havoc 31 verifying the completion of that run. I have had this happen multiple times now and let it slide as it is a known issue and was hoping for a fix but its getting incredibly aggravating. I don’t typically host my own team so helping others complete their missions is how I typically rank up and it’s making it feel like there’s no point in playing at the moment as im not ranking up like I should. This happens 100% of the time I complete a higher rank than my own in someone else’s mission. From havoc 31, 29, 28, 26, and 25, I have not gotten any of the promotions I should.
Wow, must have missed that. Unfortunately thought this was just a bug. With a schedule like mine, its hard to put together a pre-made group even when using the discord group and other resources. Running with random players while de-ranking is still a thing, ends up in a semi-endless treadmill between levels 20-35 where you’ll rank up 2-3 times and then de rank 4 more. Might have to pump the brakes on darktide until I hear about improvement or changes.
It’s one of the worst progression match making systems of any game I’ve played. You do find good team mates, but sometimes it just throws a curveball at you (twins, multiple bosses, horde, barrel/burster) and then you do just get some team mates that are used to lone wolfing it and I swear its 3-4 steps forward, 2-3 back or more. I could see the weekly decay honestly, but combine that with the the regular de-rank and its just poor all around. I may try one here and there but this makes me want to break away and paint minis instead or something.
