There can be maulers and scab ragers but not crushers.
But as you mentioned there are plenty of strategies to make it easier, if the team sticks together zealot chorus or ogryn loyal protector can create a lot of space to scan the targets, also a invis zealot can take care of scans pretty easily solo.
The escape is also much easier than ow it looks. Just stick together, don’t rush ahead so you don’t trigger the spawns that would cut off the rest of your teammates escape, cycle in taking care of the front and the rear.
True, but it is still doable, if you know what to do and play Auric, most of the times at least one teammate is half competent and that is enough to pull it off.
I’m slowly going for the Mission Improbable penance and Hab Dreyko is the last mission missing, I only play Auric, and I select it evry time I see it in Damn Auric, so far I have played at least 20 times that map in the last month and I have a near 100% success rate.
I like Hab Dreyko, it’s just that contrary to most maps it requires tiny bit more specialized builds or you will end up swarmed during the last scans + exfil
To me the “worst” map are Refinery Delta-17 (Hourglass) because the finale is basically camp a door and mash melee while everyone falls asleep, and Vigil Station Oblivium (Torrent) because again, the finale is just killing tiny horde spawns funneled to you in cramped corridors
Since they reworked both Hab Dreyko and Enclavum Baross finales, i hope they will rework these two finals too
The map might really be a bit out of line compared to the other maps. The hi-int gauntlet ending on this map is the most sweaty thing I’ve ever encountered in public games in the last couple of months.
The pre-finale scans are difficult but quite manageable, but the amount of stuff the game director throws at you at the end is just frustrating. Not ‘kark yeah, we finally did it’ frustrating, but rather ‘karking hell, the kark was that?’ difficult. I have a case where quite a decent pug team barely managed to pull the finale off, and it’s not because the team was bad.
If you are running a premade stack with a voice chat, it might be easier. But with pugs it’s a bit too stressing for my liking.
literally, get good. the newest scan map also needs this treatment as well. and tbh, ALL of darktide needs this and then some. this game is for too easy and too boring and and somehow, there seems to always be somebody in these forums still whining about difficulty
humble urself and lower the difficulty and dont ask for a higher difficulty to get nerfed. and also fatshark, if any devs read this, these kinds of posts are high key ur fault. you are offering gamers more mats for a higher difficulty they cant handle on a faulty crafting system that has them all begging for crumbs. give the second highest difficulty the same payout like vermintide.
shoot, buff every event to vermintide standards. hab drayko is a tiny step in the right direction. didnt read any of the comments past OP but if anyone else also thinks its too hard, queue heresy. you are simply not good at damnation.
I’ve had gunner gangs (supplemented by the occasional sniper) spawn on the balcony on the approach to that drop and they are GREAT at pinning down everything while they’ve got the high ground with limited options for recourse other than suppression since they’re behind “grating” BB doesn’t target.
