Generated character portrait frequently looks odd/wrong

Issue Description:
It seems as though character portraits are generated at runtime and cached for the session. Sometimes these portraits come out looking very bizarre—as if they’re being generated using either strange lighting conditions or a low-quality LOD of the character’s model—resulting in a very bad-looking portrait.

Steps to Reproduce:

Issue seems to occur randomly on startup, and can sometimes be visible on the Change Operative screen or in-game.

Visiting the barber in the hub and making any change will regenerate the portrait under (seemingly) correct conditions.

Here is a new character that was just edited at the barber, generating (what I believe is) the correct portrait.


Upon relogging, the incorrect portrait is shown at both the operative screen:

Same exact character, no changes, but the first image is after visiting the barber and the second image is after quitting/restarting the game.
