Edit: seems to be on Auric with the new crazy hordes. So character rendering/culling/occlusion is borked maybe?

Something is severely borked with the framerate at the moment on Xbox (maybe PC too idk) and it used to be acceptable…

From a quick play and in my capacity as a 3D engine programmer of some 25 years on console/PC I’d say it’s either your culling/occlusion logic is borked/off, LOD/draw distance problem or your z prepass isn’t prepassing. Maybe just some profiling/test code left on who knows.

Steps to repeat:

Pick any complex area, stand in a corner with nothing behing it and do a 360 turn you’ll see what I mean, drops to literally to a few fps then hits 60 on the simple bit. Try the power matrix or the torrent cogitator(?) mission for some really egregious examples.

Btw I could come show you how to get more solid 60fps performance if you want :rofl: I offer performance optimisation and render engine coding services remotely from the UK these days…
