Why on terra do I start taking fire damage when the beast that just ate me walks into fire?? Not really a fun interaction

this man just uncovered the pandora’s box
but have you ever been pulped by a spawn or plague ogryn while being eaten by another spawn? or had a beast of nurgle grab you out of mid air because he puked on you while the mutant was holding you?
bosses ignore those pinning mercy mechanics other enemies have that was fairly recent of a change. enemies used to beat on players that had dogs on them, and the horde that would surround you before a mutant would let go would usually auto down too.
My best guess is that you count as grounded during any and all pins or trapped states.
You take fire damage while being held by a mutant or either monster than can grab you…
It’s not particularly fun and is almost always a guartanteed death.
Dont worry! FS removed the possibility of being healed by med packs while in the belly because that a no-no! But still getting dmg on the other hand is totally fine!
Gotta love the consistent game design
