You people really overestimate the utility of that perk. It will only be good on a high damage low ammo weapon. Infinite ammo that takes an entire match to get all of your ammo isn’t that good, especially when you can get the same ammo back with two big ammo pouches.
Can you confirm whether you can have more that one Servo Skull at any given time? I assume Flamer and Medicae skulls replace the existing skill, but I’m not 100% sure if this means you have a second skull or not.
If we can have multiple Servo-Skulls out, are we able to give them different names?
@eatingsand Okay but at the same time it’s extremely likely the servoskull is not going to be able to INSTANTLY get someone out of a net due to traveltime and such so they’ll likely get downed before they get to them on high difficulties with the director’s hypercombos (trapper+burster, flamer, yknow, the works) But still be able to fix that one awkward occasion we all know and hate where the team drops off a ledge (possibly due to mutants) and you’re downed or netted with no hope to get down with them. This potential definitely adds to the game, not detracts.
its still infinite ammo no matter how you look at it, and that wont change my opinions about it ![]()
infinite ammo is infinite ammo, no matter the limitations
It’s not infinite ammo, it’s a single restock over an entire mission. That’s not that good.
8 over the course of a minute, works while in downtime or doing nothing and possibly works with survivalist. At least with survivalist you gotta kill something
i think it might be the actual first ammo econ talent that isn’t badly balanced. depends on how skitarii weapons are in terms of ammo reserves though. it sounds like it could hit the sweet spot of providing extra ammo that’s relevant without breaking the game
i recall that at some point, the higher price point of darktide class DLCs than VT2 careers was explained by the need for more voice actors than in VT2
given that explanation, can we expect the skitarii DLC to have a lower price point than arbites or hive scum due to using 2 less voice actors?
Yeah, well they’ve completely failed to balance Hive Scum. Pickpocket nerf literally did nothing; it makes Desperado scum slightly more annoying to play, but still usable. And it did literally nothing to the bigger problem of Needle Gun.
People really just have Tencent on the brain. You know they don’t actually tell their companies what to do, right?
or so the tale goes. there are level infinite people on the fatshark board of directors. and games with tencent involvement keep getting this strange overfocus on retention psychology and cash shop rotations. it’s a bit naive to think that they’re hands off because tencent marketting claims so. or at the very least i don’t trust what they say over the patterns i myself see in the games i care about.
It’s just kind of silly to assume they’re going to insist on specific balancing decisions. Perhaps some over-arching directives.
But people act like Tencent is a racist cartoon trope of the Evil Chinaman standing over the shoulder of otherwise-honest companies, forcing them to make bad decisions.
Games have launched new content in an OP state for decades at this point. You don’t require external actors to actually explain it.
indescribably annoying how your mind goes to racism the moment tencents hands off policy is questioned. most sane tencent shill
vt1 never sold me an op item or class
ps: i expect your next post to bring up anti-semitism or i will be very disappointed
you’re also arguing against yourself here btw. you claimed they should be releasing things in a too-strong state and later tone them down, but you’ve now acknowledged it’s probably a bad strategy when the goal is game balance
defending p2w while acknowledging that p2w ruins game balance is special
do you think gunlugger is op?
are you gonna be on a mission more than an hour? lol
Not to mention ammo was never an issue in darktide in the first place. Even before survivalist nerf.
It should be a problem IMO (for balance and fun). A good thing to do would be to add more ammo related talents and reduce ammo drops on the map.
Yeah, I miss VT1’s simplicity, but sadly I get enough of your brand of weirdness all the time online. It’s just lazy and dumb to place blame where it’s not. You’re letting the actual problem slide. I would understand getting on Tencent if they behaved like EA - but they don’t. It’s not even ‘defending’ the company, that’s just never been how it has operated. So the problem is elsewhere.
Yeah.
No, you just didn’t understand what I said. You can go back and read and try again, if you like.
EDIT: Reading your post again, I realize the issue is the same on your entire comment; you read what I said, and immediately take up a very strong stance on what you believe I meant. Sorry, on both counts you were wrong.
I honestly don’t think there’s a real discussion to be had here, even if I just lay out “oh, I see there’s a misunderstanding, let me clarify what I meant!” I don’t think you’ll respond in good faith. Maybe I’m wrong. If I am, let me know and I’ll be happy to have a totally different tone conversation.
They got rid of the prologue of DL2 because it had Spike in it. A black dude. That was pretty recent too.
that sounds like a more than deserved loss to me when

fked up either by ignoring a barrel together or fighting the plogryn on that bridge and especially the dude in the net getting distracted by all of it.
if anything every subject in that example should think long and hard about why they are losing that engagement and improve upon instead of sending the nurgle-reverse skull, or any talent for that matter.
matches must be lost again regularly, if winning is the default outcome no further improvement can be gained nor is the game fun anymore for the lack of effort it demands
