You missed the last part of that quote: “…without paying extra money.”
All the keystones are pretty boring. None of them alter the way you play the class or offer any interesting upsides. Just do what you already always do for TDR, CDR, and damage.
also isn’t this just a mortis trials perk? are we cannibalizing those now
That’s not a trade-off at all. Most players are slow, some straight up cant complete them, and you can continue fighting and refuse to do it anyway.
This is literally a P2W upgrade regardless of how much longer it might take.
Did you not read it? It said building charges allows you to use it for a duration of time.
‘Its balanced because its not as fast as an autocomplete mod which we’re fine with’ ~ Fat Shark probably. I wonder if the person who first pitched the idea of ‘players defending one player doing a minigame to progress the level’ is even on the team anymore. They seem to have totally moved away from that coop vision.
Niiiiiiice.
Even better. I also recommend adding the minigame functionality to the existing bots.
Ooooooh. Good class synergy setup.
Oh so we’re just straight out-doing vet then, at least in terms of selfish reloading.
This too.
Still an upgrade over the mod since you can just ping it and keep purging heretics. Pay to bypass even cheat mods now I guess.
This already shaping up to be one of the coolest and yet concerning additions to the game yet, I can’t help but notice the emphasis on “power-fantasy” and feel this gonna need some slight re-balancing before launch
Can we get any details on roughly how long it’d take for some of the minigames or if there’s any downsides to being revived by a servo as apposed to a player?
I this needs a longer cooldown or a straight up downside if it’s gonna stay as a node (possibly less melee damage or dodges). It’d fit with the skitariis tabletop (ie killteams hunter-clade) and give players a reason not to pick it up by default
This has overwhelming synergy with the previous mention to a point of rivaling pickpocket, any news about how much you’ll have to wait for the ammo regen and how much it’ll speed up reload by?
Dots are already meta and this class is practically built around one, don’t think it should benefit from others too.
I feel this belongs better on ogryn considering their reliance on coherency regen
Any word on how much it’d be increased?
Over all I love some of the ideas presented by the class, having that risk reward element of building up for a more powerful ult or using it while weaker is really interesting and that skill tree forcing you to make decisions is really cool and something I wish we see ported over to older classes, but if the class is too strong I can see it undermining the fun of choice and decision weighing it’s clearly going for
Hopefully there’s a modifier node to make it carry batteries too. I’ll name my servo skull ‘Amazon Drone Teamsters’
i think at least the design director still has this vision, or at least claimed to on the pc gamer interview. but this directly contradicts it. the same with the skulls removing nets.
i’m still not sure what to make of this. does he not actually enforce the vision? is it not actually the vision and he just made idle conversation? is he trying to enforce the vision but this went past him? no interpretation of this contradiction makes me feel very hopeful about fatsharks design ever ironing out the issues present now.
it’s a little frustrating, this specific thing.
they know the problems and can repeat them back to us, but their actions contradict them. it’s either lip service or the structures are too broken to align with their vision.
Maybe it won’t be able to free/revive the player that owns it?
But with cyber mastiff aiding it’s space cop, I foresee outcries if that’s the case.
I’ll say this: pretty cool, but after reading this post, it’s clear that Skitarii is already extremely broken and will be another gamebreaking class, with Psyker and Melee Scum.
You absolutely need to listen to more feedback from testers when developing the DLC classes, and I get that it’s great to release overtuned classes to drive sales, but then you have to put so much work (years of work) on bringing them back in line.
I think it would be better for everyone if you had more testers or a longer test period (even better an open beta/PTS server).
Correct, it can only assist teammates. The owning player also has to manually direct it to do so.
Any info on the DoT mechanic the Phosphor pistol will use? Is it burn?
Sorry to be toxic, but it’s hilarious how quickly you chime in to put fears of P2W to bed but can’t be arsed to answer honest questions about the fate of the game mode your team put out when it was received so poorly.
I know you don’t get to decide what you can tell us, just says a lot about where FS’s head is at.
the skilltree looks pretty peak alongside the servo skull visuals!
does the medicae skull actually heal?
have considerations be made as to how this affects martyrdom zealots?
How will it work? When you leave coherency you will lose extra ammo?
Since the capacitance mechanic seems to be such an important mechanic for the class, please, please make it so that an enemy that dies shortly after you hit them (from an ally’s damage, for instance) counts as a kill for the purpose of capacitance charges ![]()
The required time between the last damage dealt by the Skitarii and the enemy death can be made short for balancing purposes if needed; but if it requires a kill, I can already imagine myself getting frustrated at not getting the killing blow on elites and ending up not regenerating ult “cooldown” in harsh situations, which would feel horrible ![]()
