Was playing mission, got tossed off map by explosion. Thru me over a railing, but my toon did not cling to the railing. Instead I continued off the edge and landed on the water below. Where I spent a while running on top of the sewer water, beneath the map. Eventually I was able to find where sewer water dropped down lower, I jumped off that and then died. So i surmise that the maps detection layer for player death was beneath the water texture layer and I was able to walk around on that in good health until I found a place to drop lower and hit that auto-death line.
It was the map where you have to go to purify the water supply. End of map is a sort of circular railcar switch station with Demon Growths to whack while hoards rush you. I think it is called Silo Cluster 18-66/a.
I was tossed off about halfway thru the level.

Occured about 10 minutes before I posted this bug report
I would rate this rare. Since I have been tossed off ledges a bunch, but never before survived to walk around on the map floor.
