Soooo…erm what am I not understanding here? The penance says unlock 18 grid points but I’ve unlocked everything on auric on the mission board and it says I’ve only done 8?
Anyone know what the deal is?

Only thing I can come to think of is that we are going to see an expansion of the grid. Or.. Fatshark made a booboo.. for the sixhundred-and-ninety-eight-thousanth time. Which could it possibly be.

Also the tech remnants assignment maxes at tier 3 instead of 5, there are 2 references to more expedition zones (quarry and refinery in addition to deadside) along with red recolors of the Deadsider cosmetics.

Ok so I’m not going crazy then lol. I honestly thought I was being super dumb.
Must be an error then? Surely they’d not release a penance that was impossible to complete?
@FatsharkJulia please could you confirm the penance requirements?
Highly doubt it was an error. I think it’s a slightly less long term goal than the Havoc weekly cache that took, what was it, like 20 weeks?
It’s a simple (read lazy) way to ensure people keep playing your new mode for awhile on refresh.

I think they said there was going to be sort of ‘seasons’ where they open and close grid points every so often.

I have unlocked them all and it only says seven I guess the first one didn’t count for me

I had the same issue (or thought I had), make sure to manually “unlock” the grid points on the map once you’ve reached their requirement. Maybe play each one once?

I had the same question 18 grid points? theory is they will add more or reset them.

Guys, the resetting isn’t a theory…it was in the announcement post.
Unless they drop it cold due to the reception. But they didn’t even do that for mortis.
Now, how often is something they are still not revealing, so good money is on a boring havoc rotation timeline.
The first node says in its description “unlocked by default” so it shouldn’t count.

Understandable, it was a one-liner I almost missed looking for it to show here.
Also understandable since they’ve gone completely silent on it again. When they should really be trying to up sell it after the overall flat reception.
Every day they say nothing makes me a little nervous they actually will drop it. But I seem to be one of only like 5 people that really like it.

It counted for me, the penance for unlocking one grid point was obtained as soon as I accessed the Expeditions board.
Hmm, my penance does say 8.
Nevermind @Dmfc , looks like you got FatSharked like those of us who actually had to wait 21 weeks cuz of an early Havoc reset bug in season 1.
With the penance being 18, though, and, assuming the map will have 8 nodes each time, you shouldn’t end up any different time-wise.

Mine also says 8, but only once I’d completed that last node with 5 zones, tornado and dogs
