Saltzpyre “died” near the Skittergate but instead of actually dying he got a second body that could walk around, attack enemies and not be targeted by hostiles.
His original body was still in the downed pose at the Skittergate for the entire match, he never respawned either.
Guess warpstone tech is dangerous after all. Still, Saltzpyre’s faith in Sigmar must’ve turned him into a vengeful spirit to hunt heretics even in death.
