Ive uninstalled anti-virus and disabled windows firewall, reinstalled and verified game cache, ive also reinstalled easy anti cheat. Im running on windows 8

Error #0000006 usually indicates a security violation, meaning Easy Anti-Cheat isn’t happy with something running on your PC. In most cases this is caused by RGB controllers such as ASUS Aura Sync or RGB Fusion, as these use old, exploitable drivers which are consequently considered suspicious by Easy Anti-Cheat.

Its a laptop with no rgb keyboards

I uninstalled my xbox afterglow controller’s drivers and it made it slightly farther into the prologue before crashing lol
it gave me this error now

Oh, I can see what the problem is. :frowning:

Unfortunately, your PC - specifically your CPU and GPU - do not meet the minimum requirements for Vermintide 2 which are:

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7, 64-bit Windows 8 (8.1) or 64-bit Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-2300 @ 2.80 GHz / AMD FX-4350 @ 4.2 GHz
  • Memory: 6 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD 5870
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 65 GB available space

It simply can’t handle the demand, which is why it’s crashing. Sorry buddy!

But it played fine (medium settings ~60 fps) enough before I bought it, I originally had my friend log into steam on my laptop to try the game and I bought it since it ran fine. This problem only started after I bought it on my personal account.

I must say I am surprised! The only GPU I can see in your crash data is the Intel® HD Graphics Family (DirectX 11.0, 32MB) which would render Vermintide 2 unplayable… Do you have another GPU that isn’t being detected correctly perhaps?

No, its just an intel HD 4400.
But when it crashes it still gives me the same anti-cheat error from my task bar. Could it possibly be the new hotfix or something along those lines?

Honestly, I have absolutely no idea how you were able to play previously.

As for error #0000006, I’d recommend that you disable all non-essential background applications as something will be interfering.
