"Earn blessing" is greyed out on unmodified weapon with unearned blessing

I have an unmodified weapon that has a blessing I’d like to earn from it, however, the earn blessing button is greyed out. See screenshot. I regularly earn blessings from weapons, not sure what is up with this one. Seems like a bug.

Yes, but I haven’t tried disabling them

You say you’re using mods, are you using the “My Favorites” mod (can’t see your left side)? It will lock it out if it’s marked as fav (starred). Unfav it, or try running without mods if it’s something else.

You nailed it. I must have accidentally marked it as fav when I was clicking and didn’t notice. It’s definitely not a favorite and now it is gone. Thanks for replying!

In an unmodded game it’ll always show the normal button for “Earn Blessing,” even if it’s equipped. The game will simply allow you to click, then the sub-menu tells you that you may not surrender the equipped weapon and prevents further action.
