It’s actually 72%, not 60%, so even less of an issue xdd
12% per stack with 5 stacks makes 60% though???
I had a brain skill issue
Nerfs are warranted, but especially in the case of plasma gun, it’s too many nerfs at once. Fatshark has a long history of killing things from the meta to be not used at all.
Why can weapons not be balanced by several minor changes one step at a time instead of being crippled with one big hit. I hope I’m wrong and the weapons will still be usable afterwards.
Because 90% of the time someone in Fatshark has to reinvent the wheel, combined with console patching practices and that their hotfix budget is majority reserved by the slop store update so that they have to save everything else for the big updates.
For the big update itself, the 2nd left hand wasn’t talking to the 5th right hand and they applied 12 different changes to fight the same issue, casting anything related to it into oblivion. Also those 12 changes interact in a way that broke something completely unrelated because they were never tested together. And that the changes were built on code from 3 versions ago, and that bug that was fixed 2 patches ago is now back. And that is a Fatshark Big Patch™
Why do I suddenly see concerns about PG that it will become unplayable or very weak? They asked for nerfs - they got them. You have to be careful what you wish for, sometimes the Sharks can hear them
People voice different opinions and what they consider too strong or what exactly should be nerf. After thousands pages and discussions, we ask fatshark “so what are you nerfing exactly?”
Fatshark: “Yes”
I’m onboard with the Plasma Gun nerfs as long as they only affect the primary fire. If the secondary fire retains the cleave, terrain penetration and other values, it’s fine by me.
It would be a massive shame to see the 100 cleave and terrain penetration get entirely gutted on both primary and secondary fire, though. That would take away from the weapon’s identity.
Secondary getting buffed (based on translated Chinese patch notes)
I really want Dueling Sword reworked, there shouldn’t be an all-rounder weapon that overshadows all of the class exclusive ones. Plasma is also overdue, I only hope that this change is coming on the 23rd and won’t be rolled back because of crying. These weapons deliver too much killing, and should be changed.
that’s 4 changed areas, while only carapace was really problematic for that 1-2 shotting of crushers. right what i said yesterday: i hope they don’t fall into their usual trap of overnefring / buffing. make it a solid weapon, neither a lightsaber nor a pool noodle.
and mystic strike is uncanny i guess.
Let me remind you that while DS was EXCLUSIVE to Psyker - why there were no complaints, I will give you a hint on how to solve it, although you can figure out what I mean yourself.
Because psyker players hide in a corner and camp their staffs…
Nerfing Purgatus?
I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve seen Psyker in my match actually pull out a melee weapon and use it competently.
You want absolutely everything nerf, I just really look forward to when the level of madness drops to the amulets because there our characters give health, protection, etc. Are you dont tired of yourself?
I have fun in game, and your exorbitant desires of Nerf and all lead only to finding again broken weapons/abilities and the vast majority will run with them.
If you want a balance, do not play games, and I want to have fun in the coop game.
And by the way, when the nerf get to your beloved or often used weapons/assembly - then do not complain or do not be offended
Then you played like 10 times in last year. Greatsword is popular, and for a good reason. Even not counting GS, it is possible to meet melee focued psykers here and there.
Dunno, guess it’s either I have ridiculously bad luck or it’s just server thing. Most of the melee focused Psyker in my game is literally just myself whenever I feel like playing Psyker.
One of the GFS Psyker I came across was spamming the uncharged special like it was a ranged weapon or something.
that’s what keeps them from learning to melee, and smite even more.
It could also be that you’re playing on difficulty settings that is simply beyond what most of the playerbase is capable of and thus they don’t know how to adjust. In which case, yeah, they shouldn’t be playing on such difficulty settings (which is why I’ve got 2774 hours logged on steam but only a couple dozen HAVOC missions at most).
There’s always going to be a guy wanting to try the hardest difficulty setting, not knowing what he’s getting into, and then desperately doing anything that works, regardless of how stupid or assinine.
I’m not defending it, mind you. Just theorizing explanations for such disparity.
