Pretty sure that was specifically in response to the Steam forums, which they donât moderate that much and also donât read that much.
Here the rules are different and you do get devs and community managers looking over the posts.
And to be honest, Hedge was kind of right. Steam forums should be what this forum is. Mostly constructive and game oriented discussion, but the Steam forums are so toxic, I feel almost at home in 4chan. Only thing missing is the random grotesque imagery and random people racebaiting with hilariously offensive posts. At the same time itâs also less coherent than threads on 4chan and just full of whining. It also lacks the fun component, Steam forums are literally just âWAHHH REFUNDâ and âX and Y SUCKSâ (but without a proper explanation of why what the OP means).
When a forum is less coherent and less fun, yet more toxic than the basket weaving forums, you know itâs hot garbage.
Itâs painfully obvious they had two separate teams and the Quality of Life additions werenât taken over because they were not part of the codebase used by the Darktide team.
Iâm sure in time it will get better. First few months of gameplay will be a little rough.
At least we did get the servers though, so you can reconnect after crashing or having issues.
