I played for a while and once I restarted I started getting this error. I verified game files through Steam but nothing changed.

Make sure that you have all game files by in steam. Contact support if this still occur after verifying the game files.

This sounds like what we consider to be persistent data corruption, which unfortunately can occur for a number of reasons. To start with, I recommend reinstalling. Should that be unsuccessful, please see:

I don’t know why, but I ran the file verification a second time, steam downloaded 3.6 mb file this time and now everything is fine. Thanks Julia.
