Issue Type (Required):
Weapons
Issue Description (Required):
Occasionally when shooting a shotgun and quickly switching to your melee weapon, your crosshair is jerked upwards.
I’m going to mark this as “rare”, but it probably happens 4-5 times a mission. I’ve tried reproducing it in the meat grinder, and have yet to do so successfully (I’ve tried for a total of 30 minutes). Immediately after that, I went into a mission and was able to reproduce it multiple times in standard gameplay. As such, I think it’s probably server or latency related. I’ve noticed that sometimes when I would switch from melee to the shotgun, the weapon draw would make a really laggy noise, and I could usually reproduce the bug in those situations.
If it helps to look at logs, this happened a lot in Mercantile HL-70-04 at 16:08 PST on 12/8/23 and is where most of the clips are from.
Steps to Reproduce (Required):
- Grab a shotgun
- Go into a server-hosted mission
- Shoot something and immediately swap to melee weapon
As noted above, I don’t think this can be reproduced in the meat grinder. It definitely needs to be on a mission server, and you might even need to introduce some lag or make the server a little unstable, though I’m not sure if that is possible lol.
