When you fire any crossbow, then change to your melee weapon or an item without reloading and go back to the crossbow again, it doesnt show the reload animation, the weapon loads without it. Doing the same with any handgun does a way faster reload, in the case of the dwarf he doesnt even lower the handgun very much.
