Hm, the crash appears to be GPU related. I recommend trying solutions e.g. reinstalling GPU drivers, here:
I have had multiple crashing issues back in the day due to portrait pictures. (Was using the experimental build to get rid of them) I was not aware you guys added a way to disable them. Will test with that one first.
If that doesn’t help DDU my drivers and see how that goes.
Alright fixed my problem.
In case anyone else having crashing issues and wants to give what I did a try.
1-DDU your Drivers + NVClean Install (If AMD GPU Skip NvClean Install)
2- Go to %Appdata%\Fatshark\Darktide
Delete:
http_cache.db
shader_cache.hans
shader_library.pso_lib
state_stream_library.pso_lib
user_settings.config (Rip any custom settings will have to re-do all, including mods. However Some old mods might be bloating this config file so it’s better to have it properly recreated)
launcher.config
darktide_launcher.log(So you can get a clear log if any issues)
The game should run Darktide Cache Builder on the first launch let it finish and don’t touch anything.
When the game opens before you load into Morningstar go to:
Settings > UI > Disable Portrait Rendering > ON
0 Crashes, updated my mods (25 of them) and running them as well with no issues.
The thread can be closed.
