CRASH 100% when 'landing' in the heroes selection screen

I have applied the v4.4.0 update, and starting the game, it always crashes right before the hero selection screen…

with the following ‘trapped’ error:

Known Crashes

• May occur when loading in to The Keep when the Career Skill is bound to the mouse. The error below may be displayed:

  [Script Error]: scripts/ui/hud_ui/gamepad_ability_ui.lua:327: attempt to index local ‘size’ (a nil value)
  You can work around this with the instructions below. Please be aware this will remove all keybindings and custom configurations; which is why we recommend making a copy of the existing save_data.sav and reinstating it once the crash has been hotfixed.

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Vermintide 2
  4. Make a copy of the existing save_data.sav, store it somewhere safe
  5. Delete the save_data.sav - not the newly made copy, the “old” one
  6. The crash should no longer occur
  7. Once the crash has been hotfixed, you can reinstate your “old” save_data.sav

I’m having the same problem.

mine doesnt even load that far, i click start, the client comes up and boom error…ive tried this hotfix 5 times now and doesnt work for me

with the latest patch, it doesn’t occur anymore.
