This post is a suggestion post to improve the QoL of Darktide. I want this game to succeed so, Why not figure out all the cool things that we had in Vermintide 2, and implement them in Darktide?
It has been awhile since I played V2 but here is some of the things that I remember:
Hotkey to access things in the inn, such as the store or to play the game
bots that used the hosts level, talents, and gear
Bots that would pick up grims, scriptures, medipacks when pointed at with the social wheel
crafting and gaining weapons based on play instead of random shop ring
Make cash shop currency earbable during in game play.
Basically why did they reinvent the wheel, but make it a square instead of a circle? I mean the basic gameplay is still fun but with square wheels it is driving players away.
Also it would be nice if we had more news and updates coming out of fatshark.
I have a 3 year old laptop and I want to say I have crashed maybe once a week, maybe less.
I agree that bugs should be fixed, however I don’t think once a week crash is frequent enough to be hardcore angry at the game. Yes there are some bugs with dogs, and with picking up a scripture here and there, but what bugs and crashes are so bad that thever earned this level of contempt from you?
Some of us are experiencing multiple crashes per mission. Load into drop ship…crash…reload…horde spawns…crash…reload…think you’re gonna finish the mission without any more crashes…crash.
It’s real nice that you aren’t having this issue but for quite a few people it’s so bad it has made the game unplayable.
I feel like DT crashes more for people with newer (e.g. 3000+ series Nivida GPUs) than on older hardware.
I’m running DT on a 980m MOBILE gpu (laptop) and I’ve legit had like 4 crashes in over 100 hours. I’m actually hesitant to upgrade to a new gaming computer because I’m worried my game will become LESS stable.
I know a lot of people are experiencing tons of crashes - it really sucks and shouldn’t be the case. Those of us with ancient hardware should be the ones crashing more often!
It’s funny because I do like the gameplay of dark tides so much and the friends that I have on there that I have been planning to upgrade my system and I was looking at the high-end specs for dark tight as the core components that I want the game to run with pi
Don’t understand the shop argument. Vermintide has random loot (crafting mats in effect) based on how you play and this has more money based on how you play. I much prefer the RNG shop to the RNG loot boxes.
The reason I don’t bother with gear is that the game shipped incomplete without crafting. It’s impossible to tell how the whole is supposed to work. Until this is fixed I just level alts or play with friends with the weapons I happen to have.
Imagine having just loot boxes in Vermintide. It would be just as frustrating as the RNG shop. Crafting is what makes the difference. At least here I don’t have to sit and open boxes all the time. I much prefer that part of the new system.
Other than that, I agree. Many of the good things from VT did not make it here. The game is not ready. It should not have shipped.
Yes. My settings are fine and have stabilized somewhat. I can go days without a d/c, but then for whatever reason I’ll have a slew of games with terrible crashes and server issues. I also have a few friends with varying degrees of success at stabilizing. One or two have no crashes at all, and a few it’s almost constant.
All drivers up to date everything is fine at my end.
Game seems to be running fine goes for days with no problem.
Then suddenly out of the blue - desktop - Random actions Random things going on. Also the server lag is BAD atm. It better be because they are fixing something that’s all ive got to say lol. If that sht doesn’t stop right fast I’ll be off.
