Content Drop - Tools of War

Yeah I’ve been adamant that they could pop a lot of difficulty back into the game increasing the resistance Elites have to staggers that aren’t coming from Psyker or Ogryn. These last Impact mods for the Thunderhammer will let you stagger Crusher without even +Carapace, lol. Make Elites Elite again.

Plasmagun is already really good it just has a high skill ceiling. If you’re failing with it, its literally just a skill issue. Plasmagun is S tier in the hands of someone who know’s how to handle it, its F tier in noob hands.

Yes, F tier in your hands. My plasma gun is god rolled yet it is not as good as other weapons such as the Kantrael or Bolter on Tier 5 Damnation and I run Tier 5 exclusively. While you’re reloading your weapon your teammates are already deleting elites. Why would you waste time and HP reloading or venting when there are better options?

Additionally, the Plasmagun has no blessing that are worth getting and subsequently have barely any impact on how that weapon functions. They are all subpar when compared with other weapon blessings.

If we’re talking about heresy level (where you likely play), it is excellent as the density of elites is fair and you are able to hit breakpoints much more easily. On Tier 5 it is a completely different story where it takes 2-3 shots to kill one elite and you’re already at maximum heat level and there are 4 elites and a sniper to take care of.

So no, you’re incorrect

Some of the new weapons sound interesting, but no telling if they are fun and good, until they are availale.

Potentially interesting conditions, but they might come at the risk of making the pool of conditions too bloated and some conditions showing up too rarely.

A bunch of good QOL improvements, buffs and bugfixes.

The changes to Crucian Roulette make sense and are certainly with good intention, but for the revolver, the amount per missing bullet should be doubled, since that is what it used to have (and it was certainly not overpowered).

When will there be a new gameplay content drop? While the new weapons are nice it still does not give us anything new to do in game, just farm plasteel or better weapons to steamroll the same maps over and over.

I know it may not be that simple, but is there not a way to get the in-game players to force-quit after they’ve finished their run when there’s a big content drop like this ? Again, I know it isn’t that simple, but Warframe is doing it so I was wondering why couldn’t that be applied to darktide

enligthen us then, and show footage of plasma outperforming bolters for example.
This isnt sarcasm, I didnt buy a plasma yet but I see and heard many people have valid arguments to why it sucks

“not all the promised weapons are in, rage!”
“There’s too many weapons, how will I ever collect them all?? Rage!!”

The complaints about this game are getting tiring, the devs are literally addressing every complaint that has been made some release one after the other and yet still there’s always people who find something to p*ss and moan about…

Maybe this just isn’t the right game for you?

Looks like plenty of good stuff here, especially fixing Psyker peril overall and on non-force weapons specifically. You still need to fix the RNG and the perk and blessing locks, though. Like, seriously. The more weapons you add to the game, the worse it becomes. You also need a serious look at a ton of blessings that are downright bad, to the point the only reason they could possibly exist is to make the RNG even worse.

Or maybe there’s nuance to the complaints that you’re just skipping over to go straight to complain about the complainers?

Psyker feels pretty nice, the Mk V Force Sword is pure horizontal cleave. The linear and increased passive quelling speed feels good, too.

great update overall, there will always be new thing to add or correct, but this is nonetheless a good thing all the way.

My first impression of the new Shotguns is that they have even worse ammo economy than the original Shotgun. The Kantrael MkIX Shotgun can have 40+/- shells in reserve and currently receives only 7 shells from small ammo pickups.
Yes, it does a lot more damage than the original Lawbringer Shotgun, but that weapon is already suffering from bad ammo economy; IMO this entire weapon family needs an ammo buff across the board.

You know, I’m not opposed to having more weapons in the game, but maybe the priority should be to balance the stuff that’s already in the game rather than adding more stuff on top of it?

Just an idea that I’m sure will fall on deaf ears.

Disagree. There’s never going to be perfect weapon balancing. If we had it your way we’d be spending way longer balancing before getting anything new.

Bad idea.

Totally agree about this… but considering what happened for the revolver, if you ask for a buff, you could get a nerf.
I have seen the same thing like you. These shotgun seems a bad idea on a vet, and the worst is that the Agri Shotgun could be a great choice for this class.
I will surely use the Kantrel, as, with the zealot, I don’t use lot of ammos. But even with not using it intensely, the amount of ammo seems really short…
Like I said for the revolver where we asked for a boost and got a nerf, FS did not read what was said about shotguns. That’s sad, cause it means they don’t listen to the community and really don’t care of what players think or ask for.

+1
They should balance and fix the weapons.
Adding more weapons and not fixing the ones we had is not a good thing.
Adding more weapons without balancing the ones we had, is making harder the work.

Thank you for the buffs tp ex takedown and covering fire but i would think the buffs of these two would flip?
Covering fire giving a defense bonus to the ally makes more sense imo
Exhilarating takedown rewarding you w damage after a headshot is also sensical.

I’m glad Covering fire will be more noticeable… now please release a big horde cleaving dakka LMG for Zealots/Veterans like the single barrel stubbers and hotshot lasguns like the gunners use

So much Psyker love! Solid weapon additions/changes (minus a revolver nerf?)
I’ll give the Special Condition party a try, nervous laughter

I thought this patch was going to be just the new weapons. I am pleasantly surprised to read this list. If it all pans out as it looks on paper, bravo.

Solid update again
I would still like to see debuff to the the vet when it comes to mele. PS is way to powerfull for a ranged specialist. I should not be able to outperform ogryn and zealots when it comes to mele with my vet, that just feels wrong.

I don’t see any mention of perk and blessing lock removals nor any gore enhancements

perhaps this is hell

No one is talking about perfect weapon balancing. Personally, I’d be fine with regular weapon balancing.

We can have both, you know, but all I’m saying is to prioritize balance first.

Wow, I’m actually quite happy with the changes here! The faster quell times on Non-Force weapons seem reasonable, and the fact that you can now trigger quietude with kills is amazing!

I feel as if all my memes and complains were seen.

The addition of a horde-clearing force-sword is also great! Can’t wait to try slapping Blazing Spirit and Shred on one.
