Communication breakdown event feedback

I genuinely can not tell if the event itself changes the game in any meaningful way aside form the extra secondary objectives

*Secondary objectives
they seem to be hard to find no noise/glow.

*mini game
its badly explained I’ve seen a lot of people struggle with it until me or someone else typed out instructions
and in my opinion the “close enough” trigger for the correct wave could be a little bigger.
giving it to other players should be an option but seems to be disabled.

I hate to say it but I think this was one of the weakest events

I think this is the most mechanics- and content-packed event we’ve seen. New enemy, new minigame, new secondary mission objective, and new lore in the audio we intercept.

But it sadly does fall a little flat for me for a few reasons:

  1. New enemy doesn’t seem to have a big impact (at least on Damnation). I’ve killed him in a crush of enemies coming around the corner but still haven’t seen/heard him.

  2. The audio logs, which I want to hear, seem to be LONG. And unlike Martyr skulls, which are in specific places (and seem to have less audio?), there’s no dedicated place to go to to signal to the team that you’re doing this thing.

  3. The audio very sadly gets stepped on by other audio, and there doesn’t seem to be subtitles.

  4. I’m fairly sure all this stuff will stay in the game, so at least some of these issues can be addressed over time, but I am slightly worried that we’ll lose some/all of this stuff at the end of the event, before there’s a chance to do that.

the new enemy seems ambiguous if it wasnt for the videos on the forum i wouldnt know what it does and besides that ive only seen it twice and i finished the event already

i never heard any because 99% of the time i manage to find one before my team i have to blast through the puzzle so i dont die

So I found a device thingy and did the mini game on 1 device and then failed the mission but the counter is still at zero for the special event?

And it’s by some miracle I did the mini game as clearly FS has cranked up the disablers to be a never ending stream…whilst I was playing with randoms who I’m quite sure are unaware of how to even walk or talk or breath.

Just constant never ending multiple dogs and netters. Booooring.

The idea is that when you do a device, a new Radio Operator enemy will spawn. The Radio Operator will call in reinforcement waves at a higher pace than the director would typically allow, thus why you were getting dogs and netters nonstop.

You need to kill the Radio Operator - he has a backpack with antennae and a large red light on top of the antennae - to stop the spawn waves.

That is great information to know. Sadly, there is no mention of the Radio Operator in the Steam Announcement tab or the Event Announcement on this forum.

Ah I see. Weird. I’m pretty sure I killed absolutely everything 3 times over whilst clutching 3 times too lol. Didn’t see any new enemies or red lights at all. :pensive_face:

ive seen the radio dude maybe twice since the event came out and it made no sounds, didnt attack or do anything it just died.

thankfully someone spotted the issue and reported it, hopefully he gets removed soon :folded_hands:

The event stopped showing up in the lobby hours before it was said to end and I was unable to complete the objectives. Will it be returning at any point. I’m really disappointed I didn’t have the opportunity to finish in the time we were said to be allotted.
