I’m not a hardcore havoc player, I play for fun. Sometimes I spend money on some cosmetics in the store, I like to think that this is to support developers. But lately, the endless rotations of the same sets have started to annoy me. Especially the last one, the set of implants looks like a mockery of the players
Looks like majority (over 72%) does not like in-game cosmetic shop and about a third of respondents are actively hates it.
Will Fatshark do something about it? Like return old vestments from year 1-2, or make possible to get aquilas in-game, for example, as a weekly reward instead of Melk’s bucks?
I’m just gonna say that if every cosmetic from the shop was available to buy at all times, I would have spent so much money by now. Because I only occasionally come back to the game for a while every year and the stuff I want at that time never seems to be on rotation whenever I do so.
I guess it’s good for my wallet that fatshark hates money.
100%, there are things I want but don’t ever see anymore; meaning I don’t spend anything.
Besides that DLC classes not getting any extra cosmetics is a bit weird but hey; at least they’re hopefully doing more maps / actual content than those.
A lot of free cosmetics and even PAID cosmetics feel lazy. Also the vast majority of colours and patterns on free cosmetics are clearly designed on PURPOSE to be absolutely terrible. Compared to Vermintide 2, Darktide cosmetic shop general experience and quality a lot of cosmetics are just worse.
trust me, fatshark loves money, and this business model works. it’s called fomo, fear of missing out. the idea is that the items being time limited creates pressure to buy. it’s artificial scarcity, it works, game companies do it because it works, tested and true.
if you want the store rotation gone, the first step is understanding that it’s a psychologically manipulative system just like loot boxes, and it really works. they’re not making a silly mistake, it’s there to pressure people into buying items from every rotation because they might never come back.
The store rotation really should be like one page a week so we can get atleast a chance to get something we missed before. God forbid I desperately want that small black backpack that was available in like the first few months of the game and now I’m stuck with the giant Mortis backpack.
