I know, I couldn’t believe it at first either! Charged Strike?!
But, it’s actually quite a fun build and quite therapeutic; sending Elites into the air with a nicely placed uppercut and beating them into the ground.
Enjoy!

I’ve run something similar, it’s fun. I also take enfeeble so everyone takes extra damage.
I suppose I don’t need Cruel Fortune. Hmm, so 35% bonus damage pretty much at all times while using Maul, just for doing heavy attacks. What fun
Can anyone confirm that High Voltage actually works with other sources of electrocution other than from the Shock Maul? From my old tests it didn’t work on electrocution from Smite, etc
Probably because you put away your maul when you use Smite. Smite isn’t like Vet shredders with DoT that can be buffed by melee weapon Blessings.
But boy does Charged Strike activate High Voltage consistently
I mean the other way: if you shock an enemy via smite, then switch to Shock Maul and hit it, the High Voltage blessesing doesn’t seem to work, because I think it only applies to the electrocution via Shock Maul.
My bad, read your reply wrong. Yeah, I think that’s because the electrocution status modifier is very brief, one you release smite it ends shortly after.
Charged Smite just gives all heavy attacks electrocution, that’s how Maul procs High Voltage without needing the special attack with the horridly long animation.
Smite is by far my least favorite psyker blitz. EK is by far my least favorite staff.
Recently I combined them with a shock maul, and now I can go a whole mission without wishing I was playing a different build more than two, maybe three times.
