Change Personalities?

I’ve got over 500 hours in Darktide, all 4 of my characters are Level 30, and just recently I’ve also discovered that certain voices just… don’t match the characters that I’m trying to be in Darktide! So, is there any chance that Fatshark may add the ability to change your personality (or even gender and height as well, perhaps?) post-character creation? I don’t know anything about game development, so I’m asking with no experience in that field! I just really don’t wanna make new characters to change any of the above details of my characters!

How about possibility to delete old character, creating new one but already on lvl 30 with all stuff from previous one? Wink, wink.

Thank you for answering! I’ve only been on the Forums for about a month or so. I’ve been playing the game since the beta, but I must’ve missed any prior Dev Posts on this issue!

Seen this in more then a few post now in the last few months, At this point I don’t think the devs either don’t care to do it be it since they are working on other crap updates and nerfs or buffs,

Or if they do end up adding it then it will most likely work like how World of warcraft has it were you need to pay like $15 for a name change or edits to stuff like gender and what not, Which would just anger the forums more then they have in the past which is why I think they are holding off from doing it

I hope not. I’d really like it to just be a free, QoL addition that just makes the character creation so much more free and enjoyable, as you can freely change your builds with no repercussions but you can’t change how tall you are to accommodate those playstyles, or even change your voice to match the way you’d think your character would sound based on said playstyle.

It would be nice to see but I wouldn’t get you’re hopes up knowing how fatshark is, They always pick money over the playerbase

I won’t expect anything, but it’d be a pleasant surprise if they do give us this for free.

being able to completely re-make your character without having to start over would add a lot more value to all those voice lines that they added, people will actually switch around and hear new stuff (also because myself and 2 of my friends all picked the hungry ogryn and it’s getting a bit stale)

How so? Because you can buy cosmetics in VT2 and DT? Or because the old VT model was to sell additional DLC classes and levels?

What about Chaos Wastes being free? What about character classes in VT2 being offered as cheap DLC or as a package with extra cosmetics? What about DLC levels being playable by anyone, so long as the host had them?

One-time promotion, now long passed. I understand that you don’t think it’s fair, but giving out millions of dollars worth of aquilas as a gesture of good will (rather than in exchange for real money, converting Gamespass players into paying customers) was never a realistic expectation. It would have totally borked their main revenue stream for the game, which (fingers crossed) will keep the game a one-time purchase for years to come.

OH no not millions of dollars worth of aquilas fake money used on reskins that take secs to make

And to bring this back on topic, out of these 3 changes (all of which I hope will come very soon to vanilla) the only one you can do now is change height.

You would need a mod, but you only need it for a moment (the change is saved to the servers) so theoretically even Xbox players could change their height via Gamespass.

Ask Microsoft and Steam

Sadly there isn’t anyway to say how soon it would be, but we do know it’s planned and we have no reason to think it’s going to be a paid system

Agreed. It’d be ridiculous if it was a paid system.

I’m personally really bummed out by my decision to play as a Savant, as the Seer voicelines seem to suit my Psyker a lot more. I’d also really like to be able to change my female characters to male ones and vice versa, as some of the voicelines are actually unique to gender as well. The Female Seer has some of the best Scrier’s Gaze lines ever.

At this point its probably more likely that someone smart will make a mod that lets you change it.
