Not sure if this applies to all ranged weapons, I merely know that it applies to Saltzy’s Volley Crossbow (but not normal Crossbow). It seems the Bogenhafen weapon skin Fastflight breaks the Scrounger trait, causing the volley crossbow to not return ammo on a crit, however the skin Levity for the normal crossbow (another Bogenhafen) works as intended and still allows Scrounger to work properly.
I have tried with, and without a skin applied to the Volley Crossbow with this trait, no skin, and an ‘original release’ skin both apply properly, however as soon as Fastflight is applied to it, Scrounger seems to stop
