Bots still have this MASSIVE issue where they’ll just run off on their own. They should be ON the player at all times. Why is this still an issue? There has to be some fix, either fix bots running off to chase after specials, or stop the AI from double/triple spawning specials for them to chase after. This is getting ridiculous. The regular players coming in for the new content can’t cope with it and it’s up to the more veteran players to deal with them a lot of the time, and the bots can’t shoot (or won’t shoot specials but shoot anything else) and will run to the ends of the world even into a ratling gunner or warpfire thrower that’s shooting them getting them caught in an endless loop trying to get to the thing that’s killing them without actually getting there and getting downed. Is there no way to hotfix this?
here’s an example of what i’m talking about, did this quick run on champion. There’s a noticeable amount more specials spawning here (about what I used to get in cata 6 months to a year ago). It’s variable and i did speed run to just get this pic but that’s a lot of specials and elites to spawn in just a champion “speedrun” (meaning no tomes/books and running to objectives with the wave coming) It was non-stop specials spawning (i reckon about 1-2 a minute some of them being double spawns). What do I mean by double spawns? You’ll hear a special coming at you or spawn in the distance, and then find there’s actually 2 of them coming at you even though you don’t hear the other’s sound at all. No audio cues, nothing, you’re completely reliant on pinging and what else you can see. Which is an issue because when you only hear 1 hookrat coming at you and deal with it, it’s quite the surprise when you get hooked from that same direction or jumped by another assassin rat after dealing with the previous one. This seems unfair to the player because there’s no way to tell that it’s coming without the audio cues due to the wave covering up the hookrat and assassin rats having their own issues with just noclipping to the player’s position without an animation.
Tl;Dr fix the animations on the specials and we can hopefully solve some of the issues with double spawns
