Title, since the WP update the bomb spawn that was put next to the ammo so you could complete the event as melee-only characters with bots is gone.
Not sure about the bomb but I will say that the event is completable with melee careers nonetheless. All burbles can be reached in melee. Zero exceptions.

Isnt there one burble on the roof in the third area that cant be reached with melee? Or is it possible to somehow jump and hit it?
The roof one is the most difficult. But I have at least once destroyed it while still standing on the edge of the boxes. So it may be dependent on weapon reach. If you jump and time well, it should be doable with any melee weapon though.

Just don’t try to bretsword and shield push attack it
