Right in the beginning of Hunger in the Dark, before the first drop/boss trigger, a Blightstormer cast his storm through the wall

Blightstormers (leeches too) often cast through walls… not only in Hunger in the Dark.

Seconding this. They often are totally out of line of sight from all of the party when casting.

There are probably extra small size “holes” in the map where they can see through but you don’t.

No holes in solid stone walls.
That’s what the game tells you.
I don’t know the right terms, but there might be holes in the structure, obscured by overlaying graphics, that you cannot see, but the blighter can have line of sight through it…
Yeah they often cast through solid objects. Had a run on Skittergate where the Stormer was inside the Gatekeeper Arena and we were running up a walled passage when a storm shot through a 20 foot high barricade with no hope of killing the dude.
