this is just it’s normal hitbox. It’s the intended behavior of a beast of nurgle. Literally as old as the game. It’s just a sloppy hitbox that begins from the middle of it and is programmed to extend. If they cared to make it function differently, they would have done so in the first place.
dude the game is still getting updates, just because something is like this now doesnt mean it has to stay. inaccurate hitboxes should stay like this forever
This is a technical issue relating to the very nature of how hitboxes function in the game engine. Hitboxes on stingray have been wide and weird since vermintide 1, and they will remain as such on this game. If they could have altered this with a flick of the wrist, they would have done so at the point when this boss was first getting produced even before the game came out. The only notable hitbox changes were bulwark shields and hound pounces for 100+ ping, and those were very disruptive and probably took a good bit of doing, and they are still far from being precise. Not the largest amout of work ever, but one they will spare because they always have to work on something else for the game.
Lastly, this is not a “bug” because it functions this way consistently. It’s not an error in the game code, the way hitboxes work is just wonky, and meaningfully fixing that would require entirely rewriting all the inner workings of anything that could relate to a box and a hit that would connect with it. Even if they tag this post as a bug, it would be for the appearance of “Yeah this doesn’t look pretty, let’s technically tag this as a bug that is acknowledged because technically this does look like a technical issue.”, so it doesn’t look like they dismissed your woes.
why is it that every time someone reports something the forum always responds with “not on my machine :3333” and “not a problem”
just because something runs correctly without crashing the game does not mean its intentional
You didn’t even attempt to understand what i just wrote out. It’s a system that works poorly. It’s like writing a bug report that a slave rat on v2 stabbed you 30 centimeters off of where you actual body is after you seemingly dodged it. If you had a comprehension of what constitutes a “bug” in programming, you would not have put this in this thread. This would be more suited to gameplay feedback, where you list all bad hitboxes and ask them to improve those. Or better yet, don’t put this out anywhere. Because this post doesn’t contain anything that developers actually want to know. Not to mention the embarrassing strawman you made up to strengthen your point, because you have nothing of substance to say. No one ever says “not on my machine” in reply to a bug report that clearly shows something not working correctly, not a system that could use improvement.
because its wrong. and i dont think you even know why you’re debating this. you said so yourself “the way hitboxes work is just wonky” i would like it unwonkified
This. I’m so done trying to dodge the puke and it never works. It needs to be fixed ASAP. I’m tired of getting puked on even after dodging and then get eaten.
