Tbf though, the guy already says “my game crashed”, while still at pretty high hp, before going down.
So it seems like a legit crash.

Fair-ish enough, it’s the only incident I noticed on a very quick skim. IDK if there are other, doesn’t seem like this is the one that was the one being referred to by @Murderer , given the rest of the context seems a bit sus.

I just thought it was hilarious that his teammate “Mmm hmm”-ed him.

Its a good boss. Whats the prob?

PROS:

  1. you have to use teamwork to crit the back bueboe (weakspot)
  2. requires kiting
  3. ranged attack preference
  4. every attack can be dodged

CONS:

  1. no easy melee advantage
  2. Solo is ineffecient (Which I might argue is a PRO)
  3. Slime attack slows movement speed (nothing is fun about slow movement speed)

the grab is literally zero counterplay other than just not being near it, which is stupid design imo. I get that they try to have some separating gameplay from the other monsters by having an undodgable attack, but the range is farther than its arms, both in front and behind, and you get swallowed up before the animation even starts to happen (no telegraphed indicators). I’ve gotten re-swallowed multiple times in a row after getting spat out with no way to do anything other than hit record on shadowplay for memes. Not great design in that bit of it.

you need to have 1 or more puke stacks to get eaten, it can’t grab you otherwise. you dodge its puke right as it stops moving, because it doesn’t puke on the move. if you aren’t getting chased it will use one of three AoE moves (slamming one hand, slamming tail, slamming hands + tail) for trying to melee it.

if people don’t have dancing with them without getting splashed down by the time the event is over I’d be really disappointing. now trying to keep a chaos spawn locked into one routine circle-strafing it so it doesn’t move off the spot? that is actually hard to keep decent damage up at the same time.

Starting to see more Thunder Zealots now in match making. So I thought OK just until this Nurgle beast spam event is over I’ll go Zealot for time being.

In Mourningstar got invited by a random pre-made group, didn’t know who they were. To then realise why… 4x Thunderhammer Zealots and the challenge was over.

When you have the 4x same class and same weapon type you start to see some interesting results. 4x knife zealot, 4x plasma, been there and adds to the comedy of it.

I wish we could change classes during mission lobby. Makes it easier to decide on team balance rather than backing out.

What? You can change during the mission lobby (if this is a joke, I missed it).

The mission lobby where you are already matched up with players. You can’t change the class. To change class you’re forced to log out and in again to match make

i.e. You’ve joined a mission lobby and see too many Veterans so then can decide to switch to Zealot to become less ammo dependent. Those kind of decisions.

i think sometimes game can still be challenging.
but maybe they should add dynamic difficulty scaling, where the faster you kill bosses, the more specials/bosses spawn later perhaps.

if you mean changing weapons during mission, this was actually a feature in Vermintide 1, you could change your loadout only at the very begin of a mission. they perhaps should do something in DT.

The only thing I’d like to see get tweaked about beasts of nurgle; maybe add some internal cooldown for the grab if you dodge it.

I’ve had it happen plenty of times in which I dodge the grab and then before I can even recover, I get grabbed again. Once you are spat on, they can spam the grab without any cooldown for as long as you’re close enough.

On the other hand, explosions can free you from the beast but it seems to be somewhat inconsistant. Not every explosion can free you and sometimes even the ones that can, don’t.

the only unfair part of Beast of Nurgle is grabbing you through walls/fences which is kinda unfair, just like chaos spawn grab sometimes through walls/objects

also yea a delay cooldown would be cool

was beast of nurgle moving? cause i tried to shoot to free people but since animation was playing never worked. when i wait and i let it turn back and escape, that’s the moment where shooting the back works at freeing players. not sure when it comes to explosions

Very true, it can absolutley do that.

Spawns can also do that and it’s not any less unfair when they do it but at least it’s not the only thing they try to do.

That could be it. Maybe not “if it’s moving, you can’t free your friend even if it’d work otherwise”.

It just seems to have animation which make it impossible to free someone and moving around may be an example.

Like changing from zealot to Ogryn etc. They allow changing builds in same class, but as class is tied to login session then unable to change within mission lobby when players are match maked up.

It would be useful so you can decide to choose psyker, zealot etc depending to balance the team on close vs range and single target vs horde to cover areas.

Actually going to craft some more curios. Trying to get around it for the special hammer strike means purposely going into corruption trail. 3x curios to reduce corruption to around half may not be useful and lose out better attributes, but since crafting is very flexible now, might as well spend some resources to see.

If anything this event given reason to use thunder zealot temporarily until event over. Of course other classes can melt it at safety of range, but the nurgle beast comes so often then dependent on ammo than before.

A good event to make people try new builds, even if temporary until event over.

yea indeed, it kinda dies very quick if shoot in the back very quick.
1 mag bolter and is roughly 90% of damage

meleing works as well but safer way is ranged.

thammer good weapon, but i’d say that DS kinda destroy BoNs quick too ahah

this is also good, it is always better to have a specific build for certain special conditions.

Definitely noticed people running out of ammo so much during this event. Bolters deleting Nurgle Beasts and worry comes if there is enough ammo throughout the mission for the next several ones. Some games people are literally competing with eachother for ammo grabs.

Nurgle Beasts turns out love eating not just you but your ammo soak too, to drain you by the 6th spawn and AI hopes everyone has no ammo left and no viable melee.

How long does event last for?

Shame it is time limited. Would be good to have this as a mission condition in random pool whether multiple of one type or mix of monstrosities.

They are boring, not fun to fight, and aren’t much of a threat unless you are on a catwalk. They need some sort of mutators or tweaking. Even skin variants would be nice.

Fatshark has re-launched the game twice with new markets while the PC players had to trudge through all of the changes. About time to announce a remaster.

It would be nice it there was a percent chance that the beast spawning in was just a cluster of nurglings playing as beast.
