Actually its a start in the direction to get an AdMech bc the Cybermastiff and Nuncio-Aquila are similar to a combat servitor and servo-skull respectively

An AdMech would run two combat servitors (at least) and mechadendrites with servo-skull (for melee and ranged combat support) an improvement upon the Necromancer Sienna reinterpreted as a “Technomancer” drone controller Tech-Priest Enginseer on one branch of talent tree, where the other branches trade off into Secutor or Acuitor

Maybe within the talent tree a certain pathing works more like a Skitarri, yet with the research of things that would be included into an Inquisitor’s warband, especially in a Darktide form, was able to figure out how they can get the coveted AdMech class into Darktide in near future

I was also hoping that we were going to get a Ratling with Battlemutt to embellish upon a sneaky sniper with a protective support companion – which is feasible with how we are getting the Arbites class – Ratling can offer some talent tree dynamics based upon the WH40K Kill Team “Brutal And Cunning” Ratlings rules

Anything else to speculate is (as @MadMartigan said) if we somehow eventually get a sanctioned xeno class like an Aeldari or Drukhari (seeing as we have alot of Rogue Trader rpg/crpg influences in the mix) – most likely an Aeldari Outcast

This game keeps expanding, so theres no need to go reet-reet about something very dynamic, new and fun. With Darktide we seen every update is the beginning of another step forward with more to enjoy in the gaming adventures

It may seem “no different from Vet and Zealot” yet an Arbites is going to show us its unique niches alongside having a combat companion

Just speculation though! Fingers crossed as it would be cool :crossed_fingers:

Agreed! We can only anticipate the potential, I suspected the Arbites mechanics operate as a test bed for another class to be able to function in Darktide similarly

Functionally I imagine the minimal of the two combat servitors, they can attack as per Cybermastiff can upon multiple targets, and how servo-skull operates in passive or an active blitz

Pasqual in Rogue Trader and how Tech-Priests in the “Mechanicus” video games in their function also helped with seeing how we can apply an AdMech class to Darktide

I would like to see a tech adept archetype but the branches branch into skitarii for ranged focus, electro-priest as crowd control/melee focus and datasmith for minions

An Enginseer usually is the one with Combat Servitors, and the Servo-Skull aids with datasmithing

It would be wild to have pathing that completely alters components to be different variants such as including Secutor, Acuitor, Electro-Priest, and Skitarri as you desire

By The Lex

To be honest, my actual dream is to datasmith a kastellan or kataphract, so I can live with a minion based tech adept archetype where your choices are 2 combat servitors as standard, a servo skull for support or a single kastellan/kataphract for tank/heavy unit duties. I’m just greedy for some of the usually-other-types-of-techpriest stuff like radium, electro and phosphex weapons too.
