Is competing directly with other coop games a new marketing strategy? I’m puzzled.
Perhaps not, but the addition of actual novel mini-maps for each area instead of the dressed-up and reversed regular maps from the winds definitely helped. So hopefully whatever actual Chaso-Wastes-esque mode we get for DT will be in a new area rather than just retreads. Ever since I read the descriptions of Nox Alpha, I’ve been hoping for an expedition there to where it all began. But I know it’ll probably just be that stupid second hive city which will just be Tertium +extra goo.
I’m afraid that the underlying issue is that the crafting rework completely fouled the game’s economy. None of the currencies or materials really have any value anymore since everything is so much more easily obtained and the currencies remain at their previous availability. Thus, they have nothing of value to actually give us anymore. Whether dockets, marks, plasteel, or diamantine, it’s all just chilling in our wallets with nothing to do anymore.
Same. Enemy psykers and sorcerers had been brought up a bunch on the forum lately so I was primed for it. Not yet, I guess . . .
Any opportunity to learn more about Brunt, The Ogryn Quartermaster is an opportunity I am going to take, sir!
Easily solved if they #letuspaint. Just give me a Destiny color palette system, I’d grind for new ones all day.

Not gonna lie except the Ogryn rework who might be decent (let’s hope !) the rest is not very exciting for me.
New stuff for Havoc ? I don’t have friends to play Havoc right now and except if you make some changes to make it less artificially hardcore and meta users only that’s not gonna change my way to play the game. Yes i want Havoc to be hard, no i don’t want it to be bull****.
Mortis Trials … If it’s not Chaos Waste-like what is it then ? I hope it’s not a “Fortunes of war” stuff because it’s gonna have the same problem than Havoc right now ; people will play it around a month just to try and get the penances/cosmetics and nobody will play it again, except that 1% players who want the 100% … I will have my answers next weeks i suppose …
Now the real questions that i think everybody will agree with me ; alongside Ogryn rework for talents and weapons can we expect new weapons for our rejects especially a ranged one for Vet (you forget about him last update !).
Also is there gonna be a new regular map in the roster ?
And finally now the game is past 2 years old can we hope to see a new class joining the warband soon ?
I hope there is more that you didn’t mention here because putting more than 3 months of hardwork inside Fatshark just for another forgettable new mode (once again i hope you will surprised us in a good way !) I will be disappointed and i fear i won’t be alone in that feeling
To be fair: it’s not like they will offer Aquilas, and currencies of any kind are basically worthless. Frames and cosmetics are of very limited utility as well. So they’re basically left with ‘give everyone the lore since they’ve been complaining about the lack of story’.
That havoc update better include some form of quick play otherwise it may as well be wasted dev time.
The new mode not being wastes sounds bad tbh. I don’t trust the current team to come up with anything decent give their track record.
The absence of the combat lead and the closure of the studio that made the original chaos wastes is felt dearly.
Also lol at character lore being a reward.
I don’t care about any of those terribly written figures. You know what would have been a great reward? Weapon skins. The things I spend 99% of my time looking at.
Another classic starved for content fatshark L and the content isn’t even out yet. Insane.

This is kind of a weird step.
I’d rather have them improve and build upon the usual missions than adding another gamemode after Havoc got added some months ago.
A new class/subclass whatever, a big balance patch, new weapons and some new regular missions would be something I’d like to see much more than whatever this gamemode will be.
It is a bit weird. They’ve already got Havoc, Aurics, Maelstroms, Auric Maelstroms, the weird special Zola mission, and regular missions (I’m grouping these by quickplay/lobbies).
Why add an eighth game mode?
