As in the title, 100 missions for each class takes too much time and force players to run lower difficulties which is boring as hell. Eventually when the new class comes we will need to do the 100 missions again and again and again. I dont mind some skill locks on penances but time lock just sucks. My humble recommendation to fix this issue while keeping the achievement meaningfull is to make T5 missions counts as 2 or 3.
Actually, it’s not that hard and really proves that the player got some experience in how to play with his class.
I got it on all 4 characters without even focusing on it.
It is not meant to be hard but time consuming. For someone who works full time such time sink just sucks. It would prove your experience anyway if game let you finish it faster by playing higher difficulties.
Honest question:
Why do you care about penances? Why not just ignore them?
The best part of this game is game play.
“crafting” is awful and it affects game play which is why everyone’s upset about it, but penances? Who cares?
Just stop even opening the penances screen and you will immediately get a better experience with DT.
You’re only supposed to play one class.
This penance absolutely does not force anyone to play low difficulties.
If you need to play lower difficulties in order to get to a decent win rate, that is not really the fault of the game.
While this might help, this could also incentivize a lot of low skill players to try and leech their way through damnation to get faster progression towards a cosmetic that they do not deserve to own.
Huh? I see no reason to play low difficulties for in-game achievements. Nor I see a reason why you seem to treat these as mandatory, and not optional.
Who hurt you?
Anybody else think they’re adding these increasingly time consuming goals (mainly the upcoming community goal where DT’s dwindling 3000ish players are supposed to rack up over 1M points to unlock the new map, but also some penances) because they’re going dark during Sweden’s summer vacation and this is supposed to keep the players busy?
Really not an encouraging development if true.
Way to hijack the thread with a conspiracy theory… It’s not going to take a whole summer to unlock the community challenges. You are overreacting.
As for the OP’s inquiry, it’s not necissary. I work full time and i’ve done 100 missions on all 4 classes. It’s not as time consuming as you think.
Idk if you’ve been following Darktide, or any of FS’s previous games’ dev cycles, but they have a history of going several months in silence while they work on relatively underwhelming updates. Considering everything else that’s gone wrong with this game it’s reasonable to think FS might be back on their bullsh*t.
Some kid from a generation is my guess…
