Yeah I agree blazing stack cap is awful, I gave up on trying a Scriers build for it when I realised getting that many crits didn’t matter since the cap sucked anyway.

It theoretically should be affected by its own brittle with how Rending was changed. Have the tested this? Because if it’s getting no damage bonus at all that’s probably worth a bug report.

Because Fatshark always think easy weapons should not have great power, I personally hate this of Fatshark (F@ck the choosing rate balance, kind of idiot), as they should try to buff those worse, and understand some weapons are not worse but just be missused (almost everyone can handle 70% of Assials, but little can on XII)

All staves has 4~ blessings which are shared among them, also “surge” blessing on trauma might work one day ( not like it would be op knowing the low RoF and crit chance ) brittleness on Trauma change nothing for the trauma damage itself, yeah blessings are so funny here :upside_down_face:

And it’s the best blessing for trauma still

By math models that the shorter distance the higher DPS and AOE range, Trauma should be desigh as a short-range big aoe deletional damage for noncarapace

You mean the ‘pity’ damage they introduced for rending/brittle? That probably works, though haven’t looked at numbers. That ought to be fairly minor though, compared to a weapon fully benefitting from rending.

Actullay, the best adjustment for Voidstrikes is to lower its projectile speed, but keep its IMBA damage. (this change let the Voidstrikes still easy to handle when against hordes and slowly walking elites, but hard to handle when against long distance running things.)

That would leave Psyker without a single staff capable of reaching out and touching things. The projectile is already really slow compared to… everything else in the game.

You’d be surprised the amount of time blazing made it to breakpoint and kill an elite before an ally while spreading the soulblaze everywhere and decimate everything, a sparkle to start hell
And also devasting hordes

It’s not that often. I mean, it can help. But the stacks are way, way too low to really make a difference.

If nothing else the blaze helpfully illuminates enemies on lights out :person_shrugging:

I mean the Voidstrike damage just after class rebuild, not now. Now the VS is a noob and weak weapon

It definitely isn’t decimating anything with that stack cap, more likely you just cast again and killed the things outright before blazing got to do much. I think suggesting blazing is better than warp furry is a wild take honestly. Take it as a secondary over rending shockwave? Sure I guess.

Yeah even with stacks on elite kill and wildfire to help out Blazing, things rarely die of the flames. Which is sad.

Cap is a thing, elites stacks aren’t, the targets doesn’t even need to be in the circle to get blazed, i agree flurry is nice but blazing out dps it from miles, not saying this lightly, i main psyker trauma almost exclusively, give it a shot

Trauma always felt kinda wonky to me starting out, but at some point when you start seeing regular packs of half-a-dozen crushers and/or bullwarks at a time it sure feels nice to keep them on their butts with it.

I know the DPS is higher. But is it real DPS?
I can never make up my mind about that. Because something ticking for burning damage, but still requiring you or someone else to finish it off isn’t real DPS. It’s worthless damage.

My issue with trauma is that it’s still a CC staff.
You need someone else to kill things off or you’ll be spending the day making enemies fall on their butts.

Did anyone have “Psyker is weak, please buff” on their bingo card?

You’re either baiting or you relied on the surge staff bug to get anything done. Psyker has amazing survivability, great dmg and cc.

Besides your comparison is wrong. If you can out dmg a shield ogryn you’re doing great because those guys deal a ton of dmg thanks to bleed and cleave.
